Family Update
September 20, 2026
Good afternoon, families!
We hope everyone has been enjoying this weekend! Coming up this week we have one of my favorites... NO COOK TUESDAY... as our PTO will have a Chick-fil-A Spirit Night from 5:00 - 7:00. Remember to let your server know that you are supporting Holly Hall and a portion of the proceeds will return to our HHES PTO! Hope to see you there!
Another favorite is Tuesday morning's Donuts with Grownups beginning at 8AM! If you did not get a chance to RSVP, simply give the office a call or respond to this email to let us know how many are coming. If plans change and you find you are available after all to join us Tuesday but didn't RSVP, come on in! We do not turn anyone away:-)
WEDNESDAY we will host House lunches in the cafeteria! This is a time for students to eat with others from their House and enjoy time together. We encourage students to wear their House colors! 7 Houses- 1 Family!
ROCK YOUR SCHOOL is this FRIDAY and we will celebrate with a DECADES DAY! Students and staff will have some fun dressing from the 50s, 60s, 70, 80s, 90s... (Are the 2000s a thing?) We hope students are able to join in on the fun!
This week students and staff will participate in an ALICE drill. Additional information can be found below. The purpose of drills is to ensure students feel practiced in what to do should an emergency occur. This is also a great time to practice at home too! ALICE isn't a set of steps to follow in order, but a process to make the best decisions when faced with an emergency. Students are familiar with the text I'm Not Scared, I'm Prepared that you can review as well.
STUDENT SAFETY!
Bus Riders, Car Riders, Walkers:
With over 400 students, it is important that we maintain arrival and dismissal procedures to ensure everyone remains safe. We need your help!
Students may not be dropped off in the parking lot to navigate between buses in the mornings. If your child is a car rider, please use the car rider loop. We are continuing to refine practices and assure you we will get back down to our 15 minute process.
If your child missed the bus or is running late, please park your car and walk students into school. Having students dropped off in the car lot to jockey between buses is extremely unsafe. PLEASE help us to maintain student safety! We cannot think of anything more important-
IMPORTANT!
Electronic Emergency Card Process
We are reaching out to ask for your help—currently, we have about 40% of our families who have completed the annual contact information update. Having accurate details on file is crucial so we can reach you with emergency alerts, school news, and important updates.
If you have not done so yet, please complete the brief update by following these steps:
Locate the Email: Search your inbox for an email sent the week of August 24th containing instructions to log into or create a PowerSchool Enrollment account.
Update Your Details: Log in to review and submit your family's current contact information.
Note: If your child is brand new to CCPS this school year or transferred between CCPS schools over the summer, you do not need to take action. Your information was recently collected.
Thank you to everyone who has already submitted their updates, and thank you all for helping us keep our school community connected!

House Color Run/Walk:
Volunteers are needed to support our first House Color Run/Walk! Please reach out to Mrs. Tahiya James, School Counselor, at tecooper@ccps.org, if you are able to help!
From the Judy Center:
The Holly Hall Judy Center Early Learning Hub supports families with children age birth through five, not yet enrolled in school within the Holly Hall Elementary School attendance area. We offer free programming including weekly family/child playgroups, monthly workshops and family engagement events. Additionally, we can connect families to resources including but not limited to food, shelter, medical insurance and more!
Do you have a child birth through age five and not yet enrolled in school? We would love to have you join our weekly playgroups. Our playgroups are one hour long with 45 minute intentional play and a 15 minute group activity. We always end with bubbles!
Please reach out to our Judy Center Staff for more information.
