Hello Families!

We had an incredible first week of school. Our students did an amazing job of showing the Pembroke PRIDE all week. Students were busy building relationships, developing classroom communities, and having fun together. Students and staff worked hard to build the foundations of great learning communities. Throughout the week I had the opportunity to read in every classroom. We talked about how we can make all students feel included here at Pembroke.

We ended the week with our first all school Respect Circle, we talked more about belonging and students got to get to know me a little bit. We also had a great time at our Back to School Picnic it was fun to see our community back together again after summer.

Next week we hope 2nd - 5th grade families join us for Curriculum on Wednesday (details below). During curriculum night there will be a used book sale going on in the lobby, we hope you stop by. At 5:00 pm there will be a 5th grade camp meeting in the library prior to curriculum night. Looking forward to a great year!

If your child has medications in the office - please be sure to pick them up before the end of the year. The last week to pick up medications will be June 10th - June 14th. After that time, medications will be discarded.

Mr. Fulkerson is bring back the Running Club for a few mornings this September!

WHY:

• To improve your running ability & hangout with Mr. F
• Train for the Fun Run Fundraiser
• Train for the BPS 5th Grade Run

WHO:

Any Pembroke Student! Just show up any Run-Club morning to participate!

Additional Information:

• You may drop off your child for this, they will stay with Mr. Fulkerson until it's time to enter the building at 8:35am at which point they will head directly to their class line.
• On any morning with expected rain, the running club will be canceled.
