Celebrating Excellence at Wilson Creek Elementary!
We are proud to announce that Wilson Creek Elementary School has been awarded the Ready Georgia Seal of Preparedness for the 2025–2026 school year!
A very special shout‑out to Assistant Principal Ward Prather, who led this initiative and expertly guided our state application process. His dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to school safety were instrumental in earning this distinguished recognition. This honor granted by representatives from the Georgia Department of Education, Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency, Georgia Public Safety Training Center, Office of Insurance and Fire Safety Commissioner, and the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities reflects the high standards of excellence our school continues to uphold.
Thank you, Mr. Prather, for ensuring Wilson Creek remains a safe, prepared, and supportive place for every student and staff member. Your leadership makes a profound difference! 💙🐺

First, congratulations to all of our talented writers who submitted entries. We are so proud of their creativity, their love for writing, and the bravery it takes to share their work.
The selection committee met and had the challenging task of reviewing many outstanding pieces. Choosing winners at each grade level was no easy feat!
We are thrilled to announce that our finalists have been selected. These six students’ entries will be submitted to the district‑wide competition. We wish them the best of luck as they represent our school!

Everyone's favorite after school event is happening NEXT MONTH!!!
Thursday, March 5th, 2026 at 5:30pm at Wilson Creek
If you are new here, Storybook Night is a fun family event put on by our teachers and staff and sponsored by PTO. This is a free event where our teachers and staff make storybooks come alive with a reading/performance of the book! The night begins at 5:30 PM in the cafeteria. There are a total of 7 teams performing around the building, but families will choose only THREE performances to attend. Choose wisely! Each person attending the event will be given a ticket to vote on their favorite performance of the night. The next day the group with the most votes will be awarded the Wilson Creek Storybook Night Oscar!!
Other details to consider:
- Parking will be tight! We encourage you to carpool with your neighbors and friends.
- ALL children MUST be accompanied by an adult.
- Doors open at 5:20pm and the event begins at promptly at 5:30pm. If you are late you will miss important directions.
- There are 7 performances, but you can only attend 3!! You will have to choose which ones you want to attend.
- Students are invited to wear their pajamas!
We hope you will come out to join us!!
ALL IN ON ATTENDANCE – New Year, Fresh Start
A new semester is a chance to recommit to excellent attendance. Every school day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and prepare for success.
Attending school regularly in January sets a pattern—students who attend 90% or more this month are more likely to meet year-end goals.
The late bell rings at 7:40am. Students should be in their classroom ready to learn at that time.
Please email WCESResidency@fultonchools.org and copy your child’s teacher when your child is absent.
2024-2025 GA State CCRPI Scores- REPEAT
The state has officially released the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) scores for all schools in Georgia for the 2024–2025 school year. We are thrilled to announce that Wilson Creek earned an outstanding single score of 99.4!
