Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based, three-tiered framework used in schools to prevent problem behaviors, teach prosocial skills, and improve overall school climate. Instead of relying only on punishment, it focuses on proactive strategies, positive reinforcement, and data-driven decision-making.(Center on PBIS) GOHS uses a PBIS system and while we impliment positive behavior interventions, we do have consequences for repeated adverse behaviors. We also refer to our Saturday School for detention or Saturday School hours issued as consequences as "PBIS."
