As the end of the school year is quickly approaching, all library books are due back to the library by May 2nd. Overdue notices will be going home to any student who has overdue books. If your student has lost their book, there is a $5 lost book fine. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Davis in the library.

In honor of the upcoming Summer Olympics, we have decided to do an Olympic theme for Testing Season at JBE. The end of the year is exciting for obvious reasons, but we need your help encouraging students to do their best on the upcoming end-of-the-year tests. This data really helps us how to identify how to help them grow and learn. Remind your student they have trained like an Olympian and it's their time to shine! A few test taking reminders. Finish Strong. Believe in Yourself. Do Your Best. Use Your Strategies. Eat Well & Get Rest. JBE Students are MVPs!

We are quickly approaching Field Trip season and want to make sure you have time to get your fingerprints done in time to go on the field trip with your student.

We will be using the same process that we have used for the past couple of years. After you fill out the paperwork and complete and pass the fingerprint process, you will be good for six years.

If you think you have already completed this process, you can ask your students teacher to check or contact the Jonesburg Elementary Office.

If you need to complete the process, you can download the pdf's below or request a hard copy of the paperwork from your student teacher or contact the Jonesburg Elementary office.

You will need to return the Volunteer Authorization Form and the Fingerprint Privacy Notice to the JBE office. We will then send it to Central Office and Melissa Lockhart will reach out to you via e-mail for the next steps of your process.

DO NOT go get fingerprints without going through this process because you must have the school's code in order for them to be sent to us and for us to receive the results. If you have any questions, please reach out to us so we can help you.

Due to the generosity of several businesses last year we were able to greatly reduce the elementary school supply lists. If you are interested in helping make this possible again, you can make a donation via our online store or contact Dr. Bottoms.

This summer the JBE Library is sponsoring two summer reading activities. Students who sign up for a Summer Book Box will receive a box with books to read over the summer, some activity ideas, and some fun goodies. Students will be able to keep the goodies and books. In the fall they can also come and tell Mrs. Davis, the librarian, about a book they read over the summer and be entered into a drawing to win a prize. Watch for Summer Book Box forms in your Friday Folders. Forms are due back to school on May 8.

The JBE Library will also be hosting 2 Summer Library Sessions. Join us Thursday, June 20 at the Jonesburg Optimist Ball Park Pavillion from 6-8 pm for ballpark reading fun with read-alouds, sports crafts, and free books. Join us Wednesday, July 10 at the Bellflower Community Building from 2-4 pm for circus reading with read-alouds, circus crafts, and free books.

Thank you to the students, families and staff of JBE! We raised $56.21 for the Hermann Special Olympics Track Meet! We do not have a Change the World for May.

DRUM ROLL....This year JBE raised a total of $1,401.76 for charitable causes with our Change the World Days! This is OUTSTANDING! Thank you so much for supporting.
