ALA Moving to a New Student Information System.

Welcome to the New School Year – And a New SIS!

Dear ALA Parents and Guardians,

We hope you're enjoying a wonderful summer! As we prepare to welcome students back, we wanted to share some exciting updates regarding our school's Student Information System (SIS).

Beginning this school year, American Leadership Academy will be transitioning from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus. This change comes after thoughtful consideration and months of preparation, with student data security as one of our top priorities.

What This Means for You

There will be some down time in communication, as the new system rolls over. Please look at the ALA social media pages for information.
In the next couple of weeks you will receive an email to set up a parent account.

Key Benefits of Infinite Campus

  • Increased data security for students and families
  • Simplified access to grades, attendance, and student records
  • Easier communication between teachers and parents

We are excited for the new school year and hope that all of you have had a wonderful summer. We look forward to seeing you soon!

ELEMENTARY INFORMATION ELEMENTARY INFORMATION

Note from Our Elementary Principal, Mr. Anderson Note from Our Elementary Principal, Mr. Anderson

Welcome Back ALA Families!
It’s here—another exciting school year at American Leadership Academy, and this one is extra special… we’re celebrating 20 years of developing leaders! From our very first days to now, ALA has always been about more than just academics—we’re about building character, strong families, and future leaders. I’m so proud to be part of that mission with each of you.

Whether you’ve been with us for years or you’re just joining our ALA family, welcome! I’m Mr. Anderson, your elementary principal, and I couldn’t be more excited to start this year with such an amazing group of students, parents, and educators.

RISE UP — The Heart of ALA

This year, we’re putting a big spotlight on our ALA motto:
RISE UP – Respect • Integrity • Service • Excellence • Unity • Patriotism

These six values will be part of everything we do—in the classroom, on the playground, at assemblies, and even at home. We’ll use RISE UP to guide how we learn, lead, and treat one another. You’ll hear your students talk about it, and I’d love for you to talk about it at home too. When school and home team up around strong values, kids grow in powerful ways.

Thank You for Attending the Check-In Fair

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Check-In Fair earlier this week to pick up your welcome packets and find out who your child’s teacher is. We know this is one of those quieter but important parts of starting strong, and we appreciate your time.
If you have any feedback—what went well or what we could improve for next time—I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to email me at randerson@americanleadership.net. Your voice matters, and it helps us grow.

Meet the Teacher — Thursday, August 7th (1:00–3:00 PM)

One of our favorite events of the year! Bring your child to meet their teacher, explore the classroom, and drop off school supplies. These moments really help ease any first-day nerves and get your student excited for school.
We’ll also be serving hot dogs and chips at our ALA Back to School BBQ—a great way to connect with other families and staff while celebrating the start of a new year.

First Day of School — Monday, August 11th (Grades 1–6)

Our first–sixth-grade students will begin school on Monday, August 11th.

Kindergarten families—your students will only come in for their scheduled testing times that week. That info was included in your welcome packet from the Check-In Fair on how to sign up for a time. Then, our kindergarteners will officially start their school year on Monday, August 18th.

Back to School Night — Thursday, August 21st (4:30 PM–6:30 PM)

This is a key night to connect with your child’s teacher and classroom. You'll be able to choose from four 25-minute sessions, which gives flexibility for families with multiple children. More details will be coming soon, but for now, get it on the calendar!

Carpool Information

Carpool will run similarly to last year with just one small change: students will now stay with their grade level until their ride arrives. This helps our team find and release students more quickly and safely. Here’s what it’ll look like:

  • Starting at the fence by the playground:
1st grade, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and ending with Mrs. Gardner, Mrs. Woodhouse, and Mrs. Whitehead’s PM Kindergarten classes on the grass just north of the sidewalk between the elementary and junior high buildings.

  • KG Dual Immersion students will be picked up across the street, and more info on that process will be shared by your teacher.

Please remind your child to stay with their class until they see your vehicle. This helps keep everyone safe and things running smoothly.
