Bulldog Bulletin
HEARTLAND ELEMENTARY- week of December 7, 2025
Greetings from the Principal
Greetings Heartland Families!
I hope everyone has had a good weekend and you've been able to stay warm. It is hard to believe we have 10 days left until we break for the holiday. Unless your child is sick, please make sure they are coming to school. We miss them when they are out and we don't want them to miss out on the fun and the learning.
iReady testing for all grades K-5th will start tomorrow, Monday, December 8th. iReady testing will take place everyday this week. Last week we met with students to discuss goals, doing their best and taking their time on the test. Please make sure you are encouraging your child to do their best and to take their time as well. In addition, it is important that they eat breakfast either at home or at school OR both as breakfast is free at school. It is also important to make sure they are getting a good night's rest. Please make sure students are in their classrooms by 7:30AM so they have time to get organized and ready for testing.
To acknowledge and reward students for their efforts on iReady, we will be having an Elf Party on Thursday, December 18th. To be able to join the Elf party, each student must raises their iReady math AND iReady reading score by 4 points from their August score. In addition, the student/s that have the largest growth from each room will be invited to join our admin team for a pancake breakfast. We are so excited to see how well our students do and how much growth they show.

There are times when you may need to pick your child up rather than have them ride the bus. If that be the case, a written note must be brought in or sent to the office for your student. Since we cannot verify the identity of a person over the phone, NO PHONE CALLS will be accepted unless identification can be faxed for verification. This is for the safety and protection of our students. We do not want any student’s safety placed in jeopardy by compromising this safety procedure.
We hope you will be able to join us tomorrow night for our holiday program. We look forward to seeing everyone starting at 5:30PM
Have a great week!
Respectfully,
Emily Campbell
Principal
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PTO
Hello Heartland families! We are excited to announce the return of a holiday market so that our Bulldogs can shop for family and friends. All gifts will be $1-$5, with the majority being just $1. The decision was made to put this together ourselves versus using a company as a fundraiser, which has allowed us to keep prices down with the hope being that everyone will be able to shop. We are looking for volunteers to help shop with children that might need some assistance. If you have even an hour to stop by that is a huge help! Please reach out to the PTO so that we can ensure we have enough volunteers to run smoothly.
