Weekly Hoots
#SoaringTogether March 25-29
From the Desk of Dr. Gantt
As we approach the much-anticipated spring break, I wanted to take a moment to extend warm wishes to you and your families. Spring break offers a well-deserved opportunity for relaxation, rejuvenation, and quality time with loved ones. It's a chance to step away from the routines of everyday life and create cherished memories together.
While we all eagerly anticipate this break, I want to emphasize the importance of time. As a father of 4, I know how quickly time flies and our children are preparing to head off to college. Please, take advantage of the time you have with your children, make lasting memories, and enjoy every moment.
As we embark on this spring break journey, let's prioritize safety, responsibility, and making meaningful connections with our families. I encourage you to take this time to unwind, recharge, and create lasting memories that will bring joy and fulfillment to your lives.
Thank you for your partnership in promoting a safe and enriching spring break experience for our entire school community. Wishing you all a wonderful and rejuvenating break ahead!

If you have multiple children, you might get several links. We are only asking you to complete one survey. Data from the survey is reported on the 2024 School Report Card, and also helps us identify strengths and opportunities for growth.

Perseverance
Character Word of the Month
Every month WES students will learn about a character word. This month, the word of the month is Perseverance.
Perseverance -- being persistent in one's efforts to accomplish a purpose or goal despite difficulty or obstacles; willingness to try again despite mistakes and failures.
Share with your child what perseverance means to you and ask them how they have had to persevere.
