The Blue Bomber Blast
Helping strengthen our connection with Blue Bomber families
August 2026
Greetings Blue Bomber Family,
It is hard to believe the first day of school is only 16 days away! We are excited to greet students and families back at Sneak Peek night on Wednesday, August 26 from 3:00-5:00. This is a great opportunity to meet your teacher, deliver supplies, find your locker, and reconnect with friends.
Our first day of school will be September 1st with instruction taking place from 8:00-3:00. In an effort to make arrival and dismissal a safer operation, we have put new procedures outlined later in this newsletter. We are asking for your help with parking lot safety during arrival and dismissal, and visitors refraining from joining us on the playground before, during, and after school. Please have a conversation with your student(s) about these new procedures and create a plan with them on how you will be meeting after school. Our number one priority at Kohler Elementary is student safety, and this includes arriving and leaving campus.
Another quick reminder. If you have not registered your child(ren) with us for the 2026-2027 school year, please do so as soon as possible.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! We are excited to have your student(s) at Kohler Elementary School. To ensure the safety and smooth operation of our campus, we are implementing updated arrival and dismissal procedures. These procedures were created by an Ad Hoc committee that evaluated the safety and security of our school day operations. This committee was composed of school administration, teachers, law enforcement, families, and external safety consultants. Please take time to review the information below carefully.
Arrival Procedures
- Student supervision begins at 7:40 a.m. Please do not arrive before this time.
- For students arriving by car: Enter the parking lot from the East on Upper Road and follow the flow of traffic along the sidewalk. Students should disembark as soon as your vehicle comes to a stop; please do not wait for your car to reach the school building. Students will then walk to the playground using the sidewalk and overhang. Our staff will be on hand to assist students as they enter the playground. Vehicles will exit the parking lot on Upper Road.
- For walkers and bike riders: Enter Kohler Elementary from Church Street using the gate near Door 9.
- For bus students: Disembark the bus on Church Street and enter the school grounds using the gate near Door 9.
Dismissal Procedures
- 4K students will be picked up at 11:00 a.m. Please drive into the parking lot, park along the sidewalk divider, and walk to the main entrance to collect your student.
- For students leaving by car, students in grades K-2 will be walked to the sidewalk area in the parking lot. Students in grades 3-5 should locate their younger sibling, if applicable, and wait for you to arrive.
- Walkers and bike riders will exit the gate on Church Street near Door 9.
- Bus students will board the bus on Church Street near Door 9.
To help Kohler Elementary Staff manage dismissal, please complete this google form. If there is a change to your dismissal procedures, please let your students classroom teacher know. Any changes to dismissal made after 2:30 should be communicated to the Kohler Elementary Office at 920.803.7210.
4K Class Assignments
4K class assignments are still in the process of being created. Families will be able to see their teachers by the end of this week.
September Lunch Menu
We are pleased to welcome Organic Life as our new food supplier fueling our students. 4th and 5th grade students will still have the the option between a Cafe Meal and Chef meal. Kohler Kare - 3rd grade will only have the cafe option.
Reminder - soda, energy drinks, and highly caffeinated drinks will not be available to purchase in the cafeteria. These drinks should also not come to school in cold lunches. Thank you for your support.
