Principal's Update
A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
WHO ARE YOU BECOMING?
Your reputation isn’t built in one big moment. It’s built in hundreds of small ones: whether you follow through when you say you will, how you treat someone who can’t do anything for you, what you do when something gets hard, and the choices you make when nobody is making you do the right thing. Benjamin Franklin put it simply: “Well done is better than well said.” Who we are is ultimately shown by what we do.
At Providence Hall, we want to get better at recognizing those choices. That’s why you’ll start hearing us talk more about LEAD: Leadership, Excellence, Accountability, Determination. These aren’t titles or awards, they’re everyday behaviors. Leadership can be including someone who is standing alone. Excellence can be deciding your first attempt isn’t your best attempt. Accountability can be owning a mistake instead of making an excuse. Determination can simply mean sticking with something when quitting would be easier.
We talk a lot about learning to THINK, COMMUNICATE, and ACT. LEAD asks another question: What do your actions say about who you are becoming? None of us gets it right every day. The goal is to notice the small choices that are shaping us and make the next one count.
TAKE THE CHALLENGE
Students:
Pick one LEAD value this week. Look for one opportunity to demonstrate it when nobody asks you to.
Parents & Guardians:
Ask your student: “Which LEAD value do you think comes most naturally to you right now and which one takes more effort?”

Meet Our PHHS All-Stars!
Ms. Thompson "The Steady Force"
Ms. Jensen "The Connector"
Some players put up big numbers. The Connector has spent her career making sure people count. Ms. Jensen pays attention. She picks up on the little things, remembers what matters to people, and seems to know when someone could use a check-in. She’s been part of the PHHS lineup since the very beginning, helping shape the kind of school we wanted to become.
Help Us Recognize Our Math All Stars!
We’ll be featuring MS. ROMINGER & MS. B. ANDERSON in next week’s PHHS All Star Spotlight, so we especially need your stories, comments, and shout-outs for them this week.
And keep them coming! Stauffer, Bertoch, and Johansen are up next, so we’re collecting shout-outs for them too. Tell us what makes these teachers great, something they do for students, a strength you appreciate, or simply a moment when they made a difference.
