Wow, what amazing students we have here at Bryn Mawr School! The start of our school year has gone well. We have so many happy, eager to learn students here with us. We are so proud of each one of our little learners, and are looking forward to a great year of learning and exploring together.

On Thursday, September 4, 2025 we had a scheduled fire drill with the Auburn Fire Department in the morning. Our school community did an outstanding job exiting the building quickly and quietly. Everyone was out and accounted for in 1 minute and 20 seconds. So proud of our students and our staff.

Welcome back to school! It is so nice to see all the students and hear the laughter in the hallways! As we begin our journey together this school year, I just wanted to reshare some important information with you.

If your contact information or your emergency contact information changes anytime throughout the year, please call the school so we can update our records. This ensures that we are always able to get a hold of you in an emergent situation.

Health Forms and Medications for the 2025-26 School Year

With each new school year, it is necessary to update your child’s Health Forms at school. All students with medical conditions (i.e. Asthma, Allergies, Seizures, etc.) must submit new health care plans each school year. The forms must be completed, signed by both parent and physician, and turned into the School Nurse. The links below are samples of forms you can bring to your child’s provider to be completed. If your child’s provider has similar forms, they prefer to use those forms are acceptable as well, so long as they contain the required information.

Epipen and/or Benadryl require an Allergy Action Plan
Asthma medications require an Asthma Action Plan
Seizure Medications require a Seizure Action Plan
Insulin and diabetes supplies require a Diabetes Management Plan

If you plan to bring medications to the clinic, you must complete a Medication Permission Form with each medication turned into the clinic and provide a written order from the prescribing provider. This includes all prescription and over the counter medications. Please see the APS District Medication at School site for further information.

If you are a family that comes for morning arrival, sometimes staff need to get by and park in the back of the building. Please pause, and let them into the car arrival line so they can get in around the back of the school. We have staff that have start times during morning arrival. Also, as a friendly reminder, if a bus enters, please also pause and let the bus enter the bus lane and we can then proceed with morning car drop off.

Please complete this list if you would like your contact information to be shared with members of your student's class for play dates and celebrations. Invitations cannot be handed out in class per our school handbook.

Sign up will close on September 19th and will be collated and shared as a Google Sheet with families by October 1st. We will not be adding additional students to this list past the deadline.

On Wednesday, September 17th everyone is encouraged to wear green to because green represents change, growth, and harmony. It is the color chosen by the Sandy Hook Foundation so we can promote inclusion, as we help our students be upstanders, and if they see anyone playing alone that they can be friendly and say hello!

Throughout the week, classrooms will do some activities with their teacher and classmates and their buddy classrooms.
