Gahanna Lincoln High School
2024-2025
A Message From Mrs. Williams
As we move through the busy routines of school life, it’s easy to focus on grades, schedules, and to-do lists. But some of the most meaningful moments, the ones that stick with us, are the ones filled with laughter, connection, and genuine happiness.
Whether it’s a student cracking a joke that makes the whole class laugh, a high five in the hallway, or a group of friends supporting each other through something tough, joy is alive and well in our building. And it matters. It builds community, strengthens relationships, and reminds us all that school is more than just academics. It’s about people.
So this week, I’m encouraging everyone to find those little moments of joy. Celebrate them. Share them. Because when we create a space where joy can thrive, everything else, learning, growing, connecting, gets even better.
Wishing you a week full of smiles and small joyful wins.
Go Lions!

State Testing Information
On 4/9, 4/16, 4/23, and 4/28, GLHS will be running on an adjusted bell schedule linked HERE.
If your student is not taking an EOC Exam, they will not have to report to school until the "Begin Time" associated with the first class period of that day in the afternoon. Please note that transportation will run on its normal schedule on testing days. If a student needs to use school transportation but does not have an EOC exam, a Study Hall will be provided in the Cafeteria until class begins in the afternoon.
Students who don't attend their assigned testing time will be contacted for information regarding makeup testing dates.
Student testing room assignments will be shared closer to the testing date(s) via student email.
If you have any questions about the exam itself, please contact your student's respective content teacher. For any questions about your student's graduation requirements, please contact your student's school counselor (information available at https://glhs.gahannaschools.org/counseling). For any questions about test-day logistics, please contact Mr. Zach Wiard, Assistant Principal & Building Test Coordinator (wiardz@gjps.org).
AP Testing Information
As it does every year at the beginning of May, A.P. Testing will take place here at GLHS according to the following College Board schedule:
VERY IMPORTANT FOR FAMILIES: Please note that MORNING A.P. Testing begins at 8:00AM, even though school doesn’t begin at GLHS until 8:35A.M. This time is established by the College Board. Students testing in the morning should report to their testing location by 7:35A.M. in order to have time for pre-test administrative tasks and in order to begin testing right at 8:00AM. NO STUDENTS WILL BE ADMITTED INTO TESTING ROOMS AFTER 8:00A.M.
Additionally, the College Board outlines very specific reasons that a student may be “excused” from A.P. Testing at the designated date & time, and therefore eligible for makeup testing (otherwise called “late testing”).
Those reasons are:
Academic contest/event
Athletic contest/event
Conflict with I.B. or Cambridge exam
Conflict with nationally-, provincially-, or state-mandated testing
Delayed shipment [of exam materials]
New for 2025: Digital testing logistics
Disabilities accommodations issues
Emergency: bomb scare or fire alarm
High School graduation
Language Lab scheduling conflict
Makeup AP Exam due to an incident during the initial exam
Religious holiday/observance
School closing: election, national holiday, or natural disaster
Serious injury, personal illness, or family tragedy
Strike/labor conflict
Student court appearance
2 or more AP exams scheduled on the same day
Students eligible for makeup testing must adhere to a specific “late testing Calendar” established by the College Board.
If your student must miss their AP Exam due to one of the reasons outlined above, please reach out to Mr. Kris Fuller (fullerk@gjps.org) or Mrs. Annie Prenoveau (prenoveaua@gjps.org) as quickly as possible to get your student added to the late-testing administration of their exam(s).
If a student’s absence is not excused (pursuant to the reasons listed above), or if no communication is established promptly with Mr. Fuller or Mrs. Prenoveau to be added to the late-testing list, students are at risk for not being able to test.
