It’s hard to believe August is already here and a new school year is right around the corner! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer filled with time to relax, have some fun, and make a few great memories along the way.

We have been busy at Millennium getting everything ready, and the building is starting to feel like school again. Classrooms are coming together, supplies are arriving, and there is definitely a little more activity in the hallways each day. I’m excited to welcome our returning families back and especially excited to meet all of our new Millennium families!

There is something special about the beginning of a new school year. New teachers, new friends, fresh crayons, backpacks that are still clean, and lots of possibilities ahead. Our staff is looking forward to another year of learning, growing, laughing, and making Millennium a place where kids feel happy, safe, and excited to come to school.

Enjoy these last few days of summer. We can’t wait to see everyone soon and kick off another great year together!

Please make sure to follow the arrival and dismissal procedures when dropping off and picking up your students. The procedures can be found on the KSD Website under the Millennium page. If your last name begins with A-K you will use the front parking lot. Letters L-Z will be in the back parking lot. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the office or your classroom teacher. If your child is a walker, information about safe routes to school can also be found on the website.

Please join us to kick off the 2026-27 school year this Thursday from 6-7 pm in the back parking lot. Park in the front and walk to the back. We are looking forward to seeing you!

Kindergarten Roundup is Monday, August 17, from 9:00 to 10:00 am

This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to meet their kindergarten teachers, become familiar with the school, and begin feeling comfortable in their new learning environment.

Please make plans to attend our elementary and middle school open houses:

• Tuesday, August 18 – Elementary Open House for Early Childhood, Preschool, and K-5 families from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. This year, our elementary Open House will take place two days before the first day of school. Be sure to mark your calendar so you don't miss it.

• Monday, August 24 – Middle School Open House from 6:00 to 7:30 pm

Parents and students are welcome to view their schools, meet their teachers, and visit with our PTOs.
