The final chapter of SKIPEE Skip journey is complete!

Esme is a true artist- she will often gravitate towards the paper and paints at Forest school and create beautiful observational drawings of the world around her.

Esme has a deep fascination with written text and often enjoys spending time with her crafting heartfelt cards and notes for her family, asking for support when needed. This engagement not only nurtures her creativity but also enhances her literacy skills, including vocabulary development, handwriting proficiency, and an understanding of the nuances of written communication. Here she is making a Christmas card for her family.

Esme delights in using loose parts to weave imaginative stories, transforming simple objects into vibrant narratives that spark her creativity and storytelling skills. Here she has made a beautiful bedroom for a gnome complete with a little stream to keep the gnome safe.

During Forest School, Esme creatively incorporates natural materials to enrich her play, transforming her environment into a dynamic playground that fosters exploration and imagination. Here she has made a dinner party for fairies.

Esme enjoys playing in our role-play area, in the photo above she and her friends have set up a school. This imaginative play enhances social skills through collaboration and communication , as well as fostering understanding of roles and responsibilities. Engaging in such scenarios promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and empathy as Esme navigates various perspectives within her make-believe classroom.

Esme truly thrives in the forest, embracing her surroundings with enthusiasm. She eagerly contributes to team-building activities, such as constructing a shelter from sticks, as shown in the picture above. Her compassionate nature and effective communication skills shine through as she collaborates with her peers, fostering a supportive environment that encourages teamwork and creativity.

SKIP is a small preschool with a BIG heart. It is more than just a school; SKIP is a magical place, a community, a family with children at its core.
