ATTENDANCE MATTERS!!!
171 Get It Done!!!
Chronic absenteeism refers to students missing a significant number of school days. The specific threshold for chronic absenteeism is missing more than 9 days of school. We have 180 days of school, which translates to every student needing to attend 171 days of school, which is our goal.
Chronic absenteeism can have various negative effects on students, including:
- Academic Struggles: Missing school regularly can lead to gaps in learning and make it harder for students to keep up with their peers.
- Social Challenges: Absenteeism can impact students' social development and peer relationships.
- Emotional and Behavioral Issues: Chronic absenteeism can make students feel isolated and anxious, highlighting the emotional toll this issue can take on our students.
- Long-Term Impact: Chronic absenteeism is not just a short-term issue. It can have a lasting effect on students' future educational and career opportunities, underscoring the need for immediate intervention.
- Please help your student be on time and at school every day.
