Welcome to a New School Year! Welcome to a New School Year!

The new school year is off to a great start! Students have settled into their Area 30 classes, made new friends, launched work-based learning experiences, and jumped into hands-on projects. This year we’re proud to welcome students from all five of our partner high schools—Cloverdale, Greencastle, Eminence, North Putnam, and South Putnam. Through this monthly newsletter, we’ll be highlighting the exciting learning opportunities and accomplishments of our students. Stay tuned!

Join us for Area 30’s Annual Scholarship Golf Scramble! Thanks to our amazing community, last year we awarded $22,000 in scholarships to 21 graduating seniors from all five of our partner high schools. These scholarships help students take their next step—whether that’s entering the workforce, attending college/trade school, or serving in the military.

This event will be held on Saturday, September 19th at Clover Meadows Golf Course. We’re looking for golf teams, sponsors, and donations to make this year’s event even bigger! Ready to get involved? Fill out the pdf below or click here to register a team or become a sponsor.

Dual Credit Opportunities Dual Credit Opportunities

Did you know that 12 of Area 30’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs give students the opportunity to earn 9 or more dual college credits—the equivalent of three college classes? Last year alone, 209 students earned 2,167 dual credits, saving families a combined $405,696.36 in tuition costs. These opportunities are made possible through our partnerships with Vincennes University, Ivy Tech Community College, and Indiana State University.

Ms. Rush

My name is Stephanie Rush and I am so excited to be joining Area 30 as the Medical Assisting Instructor! I have more than 30 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant and earned my Associates of Applied Science degree from Ivy Tech. I've worked in a variety of healthcare settings including Immediate Care Centers, Family Practice, Occupational Health, ENT, Wellness, and Medical Laboratory. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to share my passion and knowledge with the next generation of healthcare professionals. Some fun facts about me: I am a proud mom of three beautiful children (ages 18, 20, and 22) and in August 2011, I donated one of my kidneys!

🩺 CPR Certified! 💗

98 Students from our Nursing, Medical Assisting, Early Childhood Education, Law Enforcement, Welding, and WIRED programs recently completed their CPR training. Shoutout to our amazing instructor, Mrs. Baker, for organizing and teaching this important training. 👏
