Important Update: Winter Weather & Remote Learning
As we navigate the winter season, we want to share an important update regarding school closures. To date, we have used our five allotted traditional snow days.
Moving forward, should we experience any further inclement weather, students will participate in Remote Learning Days. This ensures our students can continue to SOAR and stay connected with their learning even when we can’t be together in the building.
What to expect on a Remote Learning Day:
Instruction: Students will find assignments and meeting links in their [insert platform, e.g., Google Classroom/Seesaw].
Support: Teachers will be available during school hours to answer questions and provide guidance.
Preparation: Please ensure your child’s device is charged and ready to go if snow is in the forecast!
When students focus on these habits—whether in the classroom or at the kitchen table—they truly SOAR in every part of their school day. Thank you for helping your child shine and for your flexibility and support of our school community!
Warmly,
Principal Ballard

Remote Learning
What Is Remote Learning?
Remote learning is when students participate in school from home instead of being in the classroom. During remote learning, students:
Join lessons online using their computer or tablet.
Follow their teacher’s instructions just like they would at school.
Complete assignments and activities to keep learning on track.
Participate actively by asking questions, sharing answers, and staying focused.
Remote learning is designed to keep students learning and connected to their teachers and classmates, even when they can’t be in the building.

Attendance Matters
Please aim to send your child to school each day. If your child is not sick, please send them to school.
Regular school attendance matters, but if your student misses school, you can submit your student's absence online using the Parent Absence Note Form
Reminders of SOAR Behavior
WALKERS
We understand that older siblings may need to walk our kiddos home. Please be sure your child's teacher is aware of this arrangement. We have a new form to be completed by parents/guardians of students that are walked home by siblings that are under 18 years of age. Once the teacher is made aware, we will send home the form.
