Attendance Matters
Every day counts! When your child attends school, they build new connections, grow their learning, and have fun along the way.
Thank you, Corron Families, for helping improve our attendance over the past two years. Your commitment is making a real difference! Let's keep the momentum going.
Below you'll find triangle graphs comparing the 24/25 and 25/26 school years. Our goal: grow the green and shrink the red!
Green = students who are absent less than 5% of the school year.
Red = students who are absent more than 10% of the school year.
Our Next PurposeFull People Focus: RESPECT
From September 21st to October 16th, our PurposeFull People focus is Respect. Character Strong defines respect as seeing value in all people and things, and treating them with care.
Throughout this focus, students in grades K–5 will explore what Respect looks like, sounds like, and feels like in their everyday lives. We'll encourage them to think about how their words, actions, and choices show others they are valued and cared for at school, at home, and in their community.
Families can help reinforce this learning by noticing and naming Respect when you see it. Simple comments like, "I noticed how carefully you listened," or "That was a respectful way to handle that," help children recognize respect as something we practice through everyday choices.
Try asking at home: "What's one way you showed someone or something respect today?"
HERE you will find the Respect Family Connection Newsletter created by Character Strong.
Volunteer for the Bookfair!
We are looking for help with this year's bookfair! If you are interested and available, please sign up for a time. We need volunteers to help set-up the bookfair, help classes preview the books available, help families purchase their books, and help clean it all up at the end of the week. We appreciate any support you can give! Please email the LRC director, Ms. Skoglund (christine.skoglund@d303.org) if you have any questions.
