Principal's Post
What an incredible month of growth we’ve had! From our 4th graders witnessing the "Big Chill" of liquid nitrogen to 5th graders investigating soil ecosystems and 6th graders bringing literature to life through "Character Head" projects, the Ranger spirit of inquiry is everywhere. Our halls are buzzing with hands-on learning that turns complex concepts into unforgettable experiences.
Beyond the classroom, our students are shining as leaders and citizens. We are so proud of our April Leaders of the Month for "Finding Their Voice" and our Lighthouse Team for their upcoming trip to the State House and service at the preschool graduation. It’s been a joy to watch our students connect with the world around them, whether it’s the Culture Club learning to communicate through ASL or the Connection Crew discovering the simple wonders of nature. We truly appreciate your ongoing partnership as we empower every Ranger to discover their unique talents!
With Ranger Pride,

Character Analysis
Our 6th-grade ELA students recently brought literature to life through their "Character Head" projects! Each student selected a key character and performed a deep dive into their personality. By identifying specific character traits and pairing them with descriptive illustrations, students demonstrated a high level of critical thinking and artistic flair. Great job, Rangers!
Digging into Discovery!
Our 5th graders recently got their hands dirty with a special soil presentation! Students investigated real soil samples and used identification keys to uncover the hidden world of decomposers, producers, and consumers. This hands-on experience brought our Chemical Matter unit to life as students observed the cycling of nutrients and decomposition firsthand. It was a wonderful day of cross-curricular learning—smiles and dirt included!
The Big Chill: 4th Grade Explores Liquid Nitrogen
4th grade participated in a demonstration featuring the properties of Liquid Nitrogen. Liquid Nitrogen is stored at -320 degrees Fahrenheit. 4th graders had been studying the properties of liquids, solids, and gasses during their 3rd 9 weeks and were able to see the change in properties of various items such as racquetballs, balloons, flowers and bologna sandwiches as they were frozen.
Leaders of the Month
April Leaders of the Month
This month, we are celebrating students who practice Finding Your Voice! These leaders focus on discovering their unique strengths and having the courage to share them. By owning their individual talents to reach goals, they inspire others to do the same and make a positive impact on our school.
Lighthouse Team
Leaders: From the State House to Graduation
Our Lighthouse Team has a busy and exciting month ahead! First, these student leaders will head to the State House for an inside look at how our government works, with a special hope of meeting our State Representative.
Following their trip to the capital, the team will be giving back locally by volunteering at the preschool graduation! From greeting guests and speaking on stage to helping the little graduates with their tiny hats and gowns, our team will be there to support every step of the way. This is a particularly special event for several of our Lighthouse members who actually graduated from that very preschool—talk about coming full circle!
Culture Club
Signs of Connection
Our Culture Club recently had the wonderful opportunity to dive into the vibrant world of the Deaf community! We welcomed a special guest speaker who guided students through the basics of American Sign Language (ASL). From mastering the alphabet to signing favorite colors and animals, students loved learning a new way to communicate and connect with others. It was a beautiful lesson in inclusion and the power of language!
Connection Crew
Nature Walk & Dandelion Wishes
Our explorers headed outside this week to soak up the spring air! Students had a blast collecting pinecones and investigating nature up close. The best part? Making big wishes while blowing dandelion seeds into the wind. It was a perfect day for some Ranger curiosity!
