A Message from Principal Canady

Good evening, Evergreen Families!

This week, our Wildcats participated in The Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill, a nationwide event where schools and communities practice how to stay safe during an earthquake. Our students did an outstanding job responding to the drill in their classrooms, followed by a brief practice evacuation. We are proud of how seriously our students took this important safety practice!

We are looking forward to welcoming our families to Parent-Teacher Conferences next week! Conferences are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your child's accomplishments, reflect on their progress, and set meaningful goals for the months ahead. Most importantly, they provide time for us to strengthen our partnership in supporting your child's learning and success.

If you have not yet scheduled a conference, please call our school office so we can help arrange a meeting with your child's teacher. Our goal is to connect with every family, and we hope to see each of you next week!

Important Reminder: Conference Week

October 19–23, 2026

Due to Parent-Teacher Conferences, Evergreen will follow an early release schedule all week.

Monday–Friday: Students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. each day.

Please plan accordingly for your child's transportation and afternoon arrangements.

Transportation Reminders

If your child has a change in their regular transportation arrangements, please notify the school office at least one hour before dismissal.

During conference week, this means transportation changes must be communicated no later than 11:30 a.m.

Providing advance notice helps us ensure every student gets home safely.

Stronger Together!

Thank you for being an important partner in your child's education. When families and schools work together, we create greater opportunities for every Wildcat to learn, grow, and succeed!

We look forward to seeing you at conferences next week!

It is a great day to be a Wildcat!

Every Learner, Engaged and Empowered at Evergreen!

Warmly,

Mrs. Canady
