Another Great Week In Ranger Country: Partnership in Action!
What a great week in Ranger Country! Fall Conferences provided another powerful reminder of what makes our CHS community so special: the partnership between our students, families, staff, and community. It was wonderful to welcome so many families into our building and share the amazing things our Rangers are accomplishing every day. These connections strengthen our school and reinforce our commitment to ensuring Every Ranger Known.
A huge shout-out to our PTO and parent community for supporting our staff with an incredible lunch and treats throughout the week. Your generosity and appreciation mean so much to our team, and we are grateful for the many ways you continue to support our staff and students.
We also appreciate the community's flexibility and support during our two-hour early releases. These afternoons provide valuable opportunities for our staff to collaborate within departments, analyze student assessment data, provide meaningful feedback, and share instructional strategies that strengthen student learning. This work is essential to setting the standard at CHS as we continually reflect, grow, and improve the student experience in every classroom.
Thank you for being such an important part of what makes Ranger Country special. It was another great week at Central, and we hope everyone enjoys a restful and well-deserved fall break. We look forward to welcoming our Rangers back on Tuesday!
Thank you for your continued partnership,
Jon Haga

Adult Bike Drive: The COMETS, your Forest Hills high school FIRST Robotics students, are again seeking donations of adult bicycles (26" or larger wheel) in almost any condition. We have supported Upcycle Bikes, a Grand Rapids non-profit organization, since its founding. (See the following stories: Robotics is about building community, FHS robotics team continues giving back, and Robotics students provide smooth bike rides for refugees and youth in need). Bicycles are refurbished and then provided by Upcycle at no cost to those in need of transportation. Help us help Upcycle by bringing your bikes to the Fine Arts Center on Saturday, October 17 (1:00 - 3:00) or Sunday, October 18 (3:00 - 5:00). If you can't make it on those dates but have a bike to donate, please email marti.atwater@fhrobotics.org to arrange a pickup time.
