8th Grade Graduation

We are scheduled to hold our 8th grade graduation on Wednesday, May 26th. Administration is working with John Hersey High School to set up this event outside. More information to follow.

School Photos

We will have a picture retake day on April 12th. Similar to last week, we will have a sign up opportunity for all Remote Academy students, and our hybrid students will be able to have their retake during their time in the building.

If you prefer to take your child's picture at home, please follow the tips in the linked video below, and send photos to Mrs. Krall-Meske (mkrall@rtsd26.org) to be included in our yearbook.

8th Grade Yearbook Messages

Though this year is quite different, we will still be offering a school yearbook! Information for how to order the yearbook will be coming out soon. 8th grade family members may share a personal message, including a picture of their 8th grader (typically from young childhood) that will appear in this year's yearbook. We are offering to publish this photo and message at no cost this year.

If you would like to have a special yearbook message included in the 2020-21 yearbook for your current 8th grader(s), please do the following:

- type out a message for the child (100 words or less)

- include photo with first/last name

The information above can be shared electronically by scanning photo and sending to mkrall@rtsd26.org along with your message, or you can place it in an envelope marked "Yearbook Message" and drop it off in the front office. Photos will be returned.

Spiritwear

There is updated spiritwear available to purchase at https://rivertrailsspiritwear.com/

Starting next school year we will officially be the RTMS Ravens, but the vendor from the site listed above made some changes to the current designs that are a nice transition from the Chief logo to our upcoming Ravens logo. A percentage of the sales from this website come back to RTMS thanks to our wonderful PTC.

Reminder: 5Essentials Parent Survey

Will you please help? We're almost to our goal!

We need your input! Please participate in the Illinois 5Essentials Parent Survey, as part of the Illinois 5Essentials Survey administration. Your responses will remain confidential and will not be connected to the identity of you or your child. Final reports will only reflect aggregated information of how parents responded as a whole.

For the survey to be validated, we need at least 20% of our parents to participate.

Please CLICK HERE to take the parent survey. It will be open until April 2, 2021.

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact 5Essentials Client Services at 1-866-440-1874 or impact-surveys@uchicago.edu.
