South MS End of School Year Blast

Hello Summer! The last two weeks just flew by! We ended last week with the 8th grade picnic followed by Tuesday’s End of Year Celebration of Student Achievement awards ceremony (pictures), and a half day for students. Students have been busy over the last two weeks seeking out yearbook signatures and reflections on their experiences this year from teachers, staff and classmates. This year is now a life memory, with many more on the way next year. But until then, there's a whole summer to experience. We're wishing everyone a happy, healthy and safe summer of fun and adventure!

6th grade students who did not earn any behavior strikes for the year were treated to a pizza party last Friday. Great job!

To kick off a fun and totally creative way to clean out those overflowing folders and binders, our 8th graders were given 30 minutes to team up and turn their old papers into fashion masterpieces! The challenge? Design an outfit with both a top and bottom, make sure it was easy to slip on and off, include at least one accessory, and have a teammate strut their stuff down the red paper runway as the model.

Let’s just say—these students did not disappoint! They dove in with enthusiasm, took the challenge seriously (but still had a blast), and delivered some truly awesome looks. And don’t worry—no paper went to waste in the making of these fabulous outfits… everything was recycled after the show! 😆
