Wildcat Weekly- 9/21-9/25

Message from Mrs. LeMaster 🐾
Dear Pomerado Families,
A big thank you to our PAWs volunteers for putting on such a fun Family Bingo Night! It was great to see so many of our Wildcats and families enjoying time together. We appreciate all the time and effort that went into making the evening happen!
Every day at school is an opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with friends. This is also important for our youngest Wildcats in TK and Kindergarten, who are building routines, developing friendships, and learning the skills they need to be successful in school. Attending regularly helps students feel comfortable in their classroom, build confidence, and make the most of their learning experiences. When students attend school regularly and arrive on time, they are ready to learn and make the most of their day. Thank you for partnering with us to make attendance a priority and helping our Wildcats be Here. Every day. Ready. On-time.
I’m looking forward to our next Coffee with the Principal after Friday Flag next Friday, September 25th. See you then!
With gratitude,
Lauren LeMaster
Attendance Awareness
OCIS Contracts
This school year, we are no longer able to offer retroactive OCIS contracts. If your student has a planned vacation or anticipated time away from school, please contact our office in advance at PMESattendance@powayusd.com with your student’s name, teacher’s name, and dates of planned absences.
If your student becomes ill and is unable to attend school, we can still offer an OCIS contract as long as the request is made on the same day as the absence (when you report absence is perfect time to request).
Students may recover attendance for up to 15 days through OCIS contracts. Please remember that all absences, excused and unexcused, count toward total absences. Students are considered chronically absent after 8 absences, so we encourage families to prioritize regular attendance whenever possible.
