Ashland Preschool Update

Hello, Preschool Families!

We had a wonderful four-day week here at Pittaway! In our classrooms, students have been learning all about winter and the many activities we can enjoy during the colder months. Children explored fun cold-weather games and activities, including learning about winter sports like ice hockey. We also practiced identifying winter clothing by sorting pictures of items we wear to stay warm.

We ended the week with an exciting Spirit Day to get ready for the big football game this weekend! Whether students dressed in Patriots gear or showed support for another team, it was so much fun to see everyone participating and showing their spirit! We also LOVE when parents join in on the spirt days too!

Reminders:

• No school tomorrow, Friday, January 16th for students due to a full day of staff professional development.

• No school on Monday, January 19th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

We hope you have a wonderful long weekend, and we look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Tuesday!

Registration for the 2026-2027 school year for current families and alumni is currently open, and will close on January 16th.

If your child receives a placement through Special Education, the Teams will be making recommendations during upcoming IEP meetings and will communicate that with you.

Open registration for the new families will begin on January 20th, at 7am, through February 6th.

Perspective Families Information Session Presentation

The attached letter includes information for our current Pittaway families who have a child eligible for Kindergarten for the 2026–2027 school year. A copy of this letter will also be sent home with all eligible students.

January 16: No School - All Day Professional Development for Staff

January 19: No School -Martin Luther King Jr. Day

February 12: Winter Fest - 10am for AM classes, 1:30pm for PM and Full day classes

February 16-20: No School - February Break

January 14
• In-Person Registration Information Session for new families at Pittaway School, starting at 6pm

January 20 – February 6
• Registration opens for new families. Begins at 7:00 am via email
