To Our Wildwood Community:
Thank you for participating in Fall Fest in big and small ways! A BIG thank you to room parents for putting together amazing auction baskets (and thank you to all the families who contributed). Thank you to those of you who took a shift at a booth or helped set-up/ clean up. It takes a village, and our Wildwood community knows how to come together to put on an amazing event!
A few special shout outs:
- 🏅Sarah Buchanan - our fearless leader who made the night come together from start to finish!

- 🏅 Ms. Henige, Ms. Martin, Mrs. Vargas, Mrs. Meiron, and Mr. Swanson - thank you for sacrificing and being cold in the dunk tank!!
- 🏅 Our Fall Festival Committee: Shaelynn Glenn, Sarah Casey, Jen Toepfer, Katie Gudmundson, Nadia Tartaglia, Kristina Martinez, Brooke Ruggieri, Melissa MacClean, Jess Alberti, Mindy Nunez, Sarah Buchanan, Tracy Yoder, and Silvia Mejia

Wildwood Spelling Bee
On Monday, November 17, Wildwood will conduct the first round of this year's school spelling bee. All interested 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are invited to the MPR after they eat lunch to take a 25-question spelling test that will determine the 8-12 students who will move forward to our final spelling bee in December. Any 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade students who are absent on November 17 may join us for a make-up test at the same time and place on Tuesday, November 18.
Quick-N-Easy Volunteer Opportunities
Lost & Found Donation Volunteer:
Help our Wildwood community give back! On the last school day of each month, collect and bag remaining Lost & Found items and deliver them to a local charity. This small monthly task keeps our school tidy and helps others benefit from gently used clothing and gear.
Book & Math Materials Organizer:
Support classroom learning by keeping our shared Bookroom and math materials organized and easy to find. Perfect for someone who enjoys tidying, sorting, and creating order. Volunteer anytime between 8am–4pm, one to two hours weekly.
CREATE Program Volunteer:
Help bring creativity to life! Supervise students during the CREATE program on Wednesdays from 9:15–10:45am. Set out recyclable building materials for students to design and invent during morning recess, then help tidy up afterward. Volunteer weekly, every other week, or once a month.
DAC Representative Substitute:
Our current AADAC and GATEDAC representative may be unable to attend monthly meetings for the next few months, so we are currently seeking a substitute who can attend these meetings and send the meeting notes to the Wildwood School Site Council (SSC) team. Please take a look at THIS DAC Meeting Calendar if you are interested in lending a hand.
Please contact the school office at kmeyer@conejousd.org or 805-492-3531 to express interest or to learn more about any of these opportunities.

- Important CVUSD Information -
Stay Connected with "Five Key Takeaways" from Our Advisory Councils/Committees
Family participation and engagement is a key priority of the Conejo Valley Unified School District. Our seven Advisory Councils and Committees meet regularly for vibrant discussions, informative presentations, relationship-building activities and more. These meetings are open to all members of our CVUSD community to attend. However, we understand that attending meetings in-person is not always possible. Visit THIS CVUSD WEBPAGE to stay informed on updates and actions from each Advisory Council and Committee, with "Five Key Takeaways" from each meeting.
- Enrichment -
Please click the "Digital Backpack" image to check if any new community fliers have been posted recently. Not all fliers will appear as images in our Wildwood Weekly newsletter, and we don't want you to miss out on community events, classes, or opportunities that are of interest to you. Fliers are organized under three tabs:
- School-Connected Organizations and Governmental Agencies
- Non-Profit Groups
- All Other Groups
From time to time, individuals or groups in the community will distribute information and advertisements to parents/guardians on the public sidewalks during school arrival or dismissal. This information is not affiliated or endorsed by Wildwood Elementary and CVUSD. Any approved communications (i.e. announcements, fliers) from Wildwood Elementary and CVUSD will be provided directly from the school to you via email, or given to your students to take home. If you ever are unsure whether or not materials are from Wildwood Elementary and CVUSD, please do not hesitate to contact the front office.
