A Leader in Me School
Sunday Announcement!
Hello Navigators!.
State testing for our 3rd - 5th graders continues this week. The students worked hard this past week and we are very proud of them. We ask that students eat a good breakfast, show up on time and be ready to do their very best.
Teacher Appreciation Week was fabulous. We are all so grateful to all the treats and appreciation provided by you all. Thank you so much!
Please see this link about Health and Human Development instruction.
Our Drama Club is getting ready to perform Frozen. The shows will be on June 4th and 5th at 6PM. See this flyer for information and to buy tickets.
Nichols Navigators Foussat Falcons joined more than 1,900 communities across 44 states and Washington, D.C., in celebrating National Bike & Roll to School Day on May 6. Our students led the way in safe active transportation, community connection, road safety awareness, and lifelong healthy habits, all on full display throughout this joint celebration.
The two schools came together for a high-energy morning featuring breakfast, bike decorating, safety checks, and an epic warm-up before heading out with 200 registered riders. Students rolled onto campus to cheers from peers, staff, and families, creating an unforgettable start to the school day filled with movement, community, and school spirit.
A heartfelt thank you to our community sponsors and volunteers who made this event possible, including Oceanside Police Department, OUSD Nutrition Services, OUSD Transportation Department, Omega Bicycle Shop, City of Oceanside, Oceanside Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee, Ride Krew, Coast City Church, Oceanside Multisport Group, and BMX Productions.
We’re already looking ahead to next year. We’ll return bigger, louder, and stronger, riding forward together as one community!
Looking forward to an amazing week!

Meal Accommodations:
We are working to gather the Medical Meal Accommodation forms for the 2025–26 school year.
These forms must be submitted to our Nutrition Services Department each school year for any student who requires meal modifications. This applies to both new and returning students.
Per USDA requirements, medical statements must be updated annually, even if a student’s condition or accommodation has not changed. This ensures we have the most accurate documentation to support each student’s needs.
Parents or legal guardians are responsible for submitting completed forms to both the district nurse and the Nutrition Services Department. Forms must be signed by a licensed medical provider to be considered valid.
Reach out with any questions or for any assistance.
