Greetings Harada Families,

We have had a great first 4 weeks of school! Students have been learning and practicing building and classroom expectations. They are doing GREAT! Kindergarten through 6th-grade students will be taking diagnostics very soon for reading and math. These assessments are given three times a year and provide teachers and students with information on what students know and what they are ready to learn.

Please take time to read through the newsletter each month for upcoming important dates, school reminders and highlights, PTA news, community opportunities, etc. Please review parking guidelines as well, as this will help the morning start off on the right foot for all!

Kindest regards,

Mrs. Sullivan, Principal

Parking Reminders Parking Reminders

As we fine-tune our daily arrival and dismissal routines, we wanted to share a few quick reminders.

First, thank you to everyone driving carefully and following traffic rules around school; your patience makes a huge difference! We know drop-off and pick-up can sometimes feel hectic, but keeping our students safe is always our top priority. Please review the map and details below to help us keep the lines running smoothly and safely for everyone.

Reminder that when picking up your child at the end of the day, we will only have students get into cars from the stop sign to about the flag pole area. This is where the most supervision is and will ensure your child's safety.

E-Bike & Scooter Safety E-Bike & Scooter Safety

As more students use e-bikes, scooters and other transportation devices to get to and from school, we want to help ensure everyone gets to school safely.

Administrators have been working with our School Resource Officer to review e-bikes, scooters, and similar devices secured on campus to ensure they meet applicable safety, age and licensing requirements. Devices that do not meet these requirements may be secured on campus, including otherwise legal devices being operated without a helmet when a helmet is required by law.

We encourage families to review the attached Riverside Police Department safety guidance and talk with students about safe and responsible riding. The California Highway Patrol also offers a free online electric bicycle safety course.

Questions? Please contact us at 951-788-7282. We are happy to help.

Thank you for partnering with us to care for our students and keep our school community safe!
