Thank you a million times over! I love meeting with each and every one of you over the last few days! These kids are amazing because they have awesome parents!
Congratulations to the following students for earning the following distinctions on their first quarter grade cards!
*High Honors (all A’s): Allie, Cora, Levi, Alaina, Shayna,
*Honor Roll (A’s and B’s): Dylan, Conner, Owen, Naomi, Kane, Louis, Tyler, Gemma, Gigi, Megan
On Thursday, we had our first classroom auction. The students loved bidding on many items with their hard earned first quarter stickers. We have begun earning stickers for our quarter two auction that will happen in January.
What a fun Mass and wax museum we had today. The anticipation leading up to today was a lot of fun to witness within each of your children. They could not wait to share with others everything they have learned. Thank you so much to the families that were able to attend this morning. I have posted pictures on Class Dojo.
Thank you to our room mom for setting up our Halloween party, the parents who came in to help, and donated goodies. This helps make a memorable experience for each of the kiddos.
Friday folders this week are current as of Thursday evening. Friday was busy between the Saint activities and our Halloween party! Be sure to sign the folders, empty the graded work, and have it turned back in on Monday.
Have a wonderful and safe time trick-or-treating this weekend and then enjoying a little extra sleep on Sunday!
Dress code reminder: Shorts and skirts without leggings are no longer allowed as we enter our winter dress code beginning in November. Also solid black sweat pants and sweatshirt must be worn over their gym uniform. On November 2 we will be completing our mandatory safe environment discussion with the 4th graders. The link provided will be the script I will be following: https://todayscatholic.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Training-packet_Safe-Environment-Lesson_Grade-4-5.pdf If you are wanting to opt your child out of this discussion, please fill out the following link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfIqYNo3WDqe5jb3lS9n5--HEoIXE4Dd7qrpF12uNaxD6jdRA/viewform so we can have the proper documentation/paperwork on file.
On Tuesday, November 3rd, we will have a scheduled eLearning day due to elections taking place on campus. Students brought home earlier in the week a Chromebook borrowing contract. Those that were signed and returned will be allowed to have the computer at home. On Tuesday, fourth graders will log onto THEIR google account (information found in both their eLearning day folder AND in their planner), at 10am go to their Religion tab to find the Google meets link where we will discuss that day's work as well as do some math practice problems together. The remainder of the time will be theirs to complete the work found within Religion, Math, and Reading. Much of it will be completed online! All work is due on Wednesday morning. Computers are expected to be returned.
