Better Together: Is your child going home a different way?
If you will be changing your child’s way home, please remember to send an email to the attendance line epes_attendance@dublinschools.net, as well as your child’s teacher before 2:00pm. Please do not plan to pick up your child in the office any later than 3:20pm as it causes a disruption in the bus release. We appreciate your cooperation as we release your children in a safe and orderly manner
Always Growing: New Year's Resolutions/Goals
It was great to welcome our kids back after the long winter break. As I walked through many of the classrooms this (short) week students were busy setting goals/resolutions for the new year. Below are a few of my favorites, for various reasons:
Kindergarten: To learn to read better.
1st Grade: I want to be nicer to my siblings, even when the annoy me. Press Pause!
2nd Grade: My goal is to help out around the house so my parents are not stressed.
3rd Grade: My goal is for my parents to embarrass me less.
4th Grade: My goal is to listen to my parents the first time. I want to press pause before "talking back".
5th Grade: I hope to be a better friend. I want to step up and stand up for others even when it is difficult (especially at soccer practice).
