November 2025 Newsletter
Jarrell Community Library and Resource Center

Letter from the Director, Susan Gregurek
Dear Library Community,
October has proven to be an exciting and bustling month for the library. Our groundbreaking ceremony was a tremendous success, featuring local dignitaries such as Williamson County Judge Steven Snell, WilCo Commissioners Russ Boles and Terri Cook, State Representative Caroline Harris Davila, Mayor Patrick Sherek, Council Members Tanya Clawson and Daniel Islas, JISD’s Dr. Toni Hicks, Chief Mazayek, and many of our devoted supporters and community members. We are grateful for the recognition and support of our initiatives.
As we enter November, our fundraising month, we invite you to celebrate and support our efforts to raise funds for our programs, operations, and Capital Campaign!
Let's Fill the Can For the Jarrell Community Library and Resource Center!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Please note that the Library will close at noon on Wednesday, November 26th, and will reopen on December 2nd after the holiday.

The Science of Gratitude
Gratitude is more than a November tradition — it can actually rewire your brain. Focusing on what you’re thankful for boosts dopamine and serotonin, the feel-good chemicals that reduce stress and lift mood.
Regular gratitude practice has been shown to improve sleep, focus, and emotional resilience. Try writing down three things you’re thankful for, sharing appreciation out loud, or reflecting on one good moment each day.
Small acts of gratitude can create lasting change — in your brain and your well-being.

Designed for children ages 0–12 and their parents, this program offers a safe, supportive space to connect, share, and learn together.
While children enjoy fun, age-appropriate activities, parents can engage in open discussions, exchange ideas, and gain valuable resources. The group’s goal is to build community, provide encouragement, and offer practical tools for families navigating the ASD journey.
