Mrs. Elliott's Message
It was nice to have a full week here at Maple! Our students fell back into their learning routines and we were able to complete our winter benchmark testing. A huge thank you goes out to our families for participating in Parent-Teacher conferences, as well as providing nourishment to our staff during these nights!
We hope that you are able to make the Craft Night next Friday that our PTA is sponsoring. Please check out the PTA section of this newsletter to register! We are looking for parent volunteers for our "Let's Be Friends" classroom parties, both to help facilitate the party and to provide snacks. Use the link below to sign up!

We Want to Hear From You!
NOCS Families: We want to hear from you! Superintendent Caleris has been visiting various buildings and groups asking three key questions. Now, we are asking these same questions to all of our Eagle Community. Click the link to submit your thoughts! https://secure.smore.com/n/bn1se8
Sexual Abuse Prevention
Recent legislative changes require school districts to annually provide developmentally
appropriate instruction in child sexual abuse prevention to students in grades K through 6. The
purpose of this instruction is to educate our students on this topic and empower them to
recognize, prevent and respond appropriately.
This instruction will be delivered by our school counselors in grades K-5. Please review the letter from Dr. Pyros below for more information.
Applebee's
On Friday, Mrs. Stuart's class took a field trip to Applebee's in North Olmsted. I would like to personally thank Lori Frazier, the general manager, and the rest of the staff at Applebee's. They provided the entire class a FREE lunch, gave the kiddos a tour of the kitchen and provided treat bags to every student!!! Chelsea Walters, a student in Mrs. Stuart's class, won the coloring contest for Maple School and earned this for her class. Please check out some pictures from their trip below!
Classroom Connections 💡
Maple scholars have been brainstorming their HOPES & DREAMS for not only themselves, but for the world. Check out some examples created by Mrs. Johnston, Mrs. Almasie, and Ms. Kuch's classes!
First grade students in Mrs. Parikh's class have been learning about polar bears. These author's took their new knowledge about these animals to write informative texts. Check out Abe's below!
Second grade scholars have been reflecting on how their first semester of school went. Below you can see the GLOW and GROW posters they created to share their thinking!
Kindness Tree
Here at Maple, KIND acts help us grow!!! Students and staff that are "caught being kind" are nominated for a Kindness Leaf. They decorate the leaf, add it to our tree and are pictured below!
