Thank YOU!

May 14, 2025

Dear Mayfair Students, Families and Staff,

As I come to the close of my fourth school year at Mayfair Middle/High School, I want to take a moment to share my deepest gratitude. Serving as an administrator at Mayfair has been the single greatest honor of my professional life.

Over these past three and a half years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the most passionate administrators, educators, dedicated families, and resilient students I’ve ever known. From the classroom to the quad, from celebrations to challenges, I have seen firsthand the strength, heart, and unity that define our Monsoon community.

It is with both excitement and humility that I share that I have accepted the position of Director of Student Support Services and Guidance for BUSD. While this new opportunity will allow me to support students on an even broader level, it is incredibly difficult to step away from a place that has meant so much to me. I remain committed to our mission of student wellness, academic growth, and college and career readiness—and I will continue to serve Mayfair and our larger district community with that same unwavering dedication.

Together, we have accomplished so much: a 98% graduation rate, stronger academic outcomes, innovative student support systems, and a renewed sense of pride across our campus. Initiatives like the implementation of new programs (AVID and Early College), Principal’s Student Cabinet, the SOONS Stop and Shop, expanded mental health partnerships, and our evolving block schedule were all built from the belief that students thrive when we lead with compassion and purpose. As we transition into this next chapter, I urge us all to continue to be guided by the wisdom of Bruce Lee’s words: “Be water.” Adaptable, resilient, and always moving forward. I may be shifting roles, but my heart and commitment will continue to flow through this community I’ve grown to love.

I will continue to serve in the role through the transition and continue to support the students and team here during the selection process. Thank you for trusting me, for supporting our shared vision, and for making these past three and a half school years so meaningful. I am proud of what we’ve built—and even more hopeful for what’s ahead.

With heartfelt appreciation and Monsoon pride,
Sean R. Diaz
Proud Principal

Students will utilize their school email (via Google) to log in. The app is safe to use, uses very little data, and doesn't require access to any of the information stored on your phone.
