A Note from Ms. Hernandez

Dear Palominos Families, & Supporters!

Week two is complete, and our Palominos are off to a strong start! We are excited to see our students settling into their routines, building relationships, and engaging in learning across the campus. Thank you to our families for your continued support as we work together to make this an incredible year at Pink Elementary.

👨‍👩‍👧 Stay Connected
Please check Skyward regularly and set up alerts to help you monitor your child’s attendance and other important information. Staying connected and addressing concerns early helps set our Palominos up for success.

⏰ Every Minute Matters
Our school doors open promptly at 7:15 a.m., and every Palomino has the opportunity to go to class to participate in intervention and extension activities at this time. Please make note that the tardy bell rings at 7:45 a.m. We ask that you help us by establishing strong morning routines and allowing enough time for arrival. When students arrive late, they miss valuable instruction and the opportunity to begin the day alongside their classmates. Every instructional minute counts!

🆔 Student ID Badges
All students have been issued a Pink Elementary ID badge. Students should arrive each morning with their badge and wear it throughout the school day. Please help us build this important safety routine by making the ID badge part of your child’s daily school preparation.

đź‘• Dress Code & Uniform Expectations
Thank you for helping our Palominos arrive each day dressed appropriately and ready to learn. Please continue to review the LCISD dress code guidelines when preparing for school. Our goal is to minimize distractions and keep the focus where it belongs—on learning!

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are building strong routines, setting high expectations, and creating a school environment where every Palomino can learn, grow, and succeed.

With Palomino Pride,

M. Hernandez

Expect Excellence. Achieve Greatness.

The Power of Community The Power of Community

A very special full-circle moment brought me back to St. John Fisher Catholic Church—the church where I was baptized as a baby. I was honored to be invited back and welcomed by the church and the Knights of Columbus, who presented Pink Elementary with a generous donation to support our students. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to St. John Fisher Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus for supporting our Transformation Day learning experiences! Their donation of construction worker supplies and hospital lab coats will help bring learning to life as our classrooms transform into engaging, hands-on environments. We are so grateful for their generosity and investment in making learning memorable for our Palominos. What a wonderful reminder of the power of community and what is possible when we come together to support our students!

The City of Richmond will be conducting construction on Clay Street and Collins Road. Please see the map outlining the proper route to take for car rider drop-off and pick-up. In addition, please note that this will cause delays during pick-up and drop-off. Please arrive at Pink Elementary early to allow for additional time needed to navigate the delays due to road closures.
