Dear Wildcat Families,
I am beyond thrilled to share some incredible news with our school community! After celebrating an exceptional slate of nominees, we have officially named our 2026–2027 Teacher of the Year and Support Staff of the Year!
Please join me in congratulating these two extraordinary members of our Wildcat family:
🍎 Teacher of the Year: Ms. Jooyeon Yoo (K–5 Korean Specials Teacher)
Ms. Yoo inspires our students daily through her dedication to building meaningful connections and integrating culture into their lifelong learning journeys. Her passion for our school community shines in everything she does!

We are so fortunate to have Ms. Yoo and Ms. Guerin leading, caring for, and inspiring our Wildcats every day. If you see them on campus, please take a moment to give them a big Chattahoochee congratulations!

Children need healthy meals to learn. Gwinnett County Public Schools offers healthy meals every school day. Breakfast costs $1.75; lunch costs $2.50 for elementary and $2.75 at middle and high schools. Your children may qualify for free meals or for reduced-price meals. The reduced price is $.30 for breakfast and $.40 for lunch. The following information includes an application for free or reduced-price meal benefits and a set of detailed instructions. Below are some common questions and answers to help you with the application process.
Who can get FREE OR REDUCED-PRICE MEALS?
- All children in households receiving benefits from Georgia SNAP or TANF are eligible for free
- Foster children that are under the legal responsibility of a foster care agency or court are eligible for free
- Children participating in their school’s Head Start program are eligible for free
- Children who meet the definition of homeless, runaway, or migrant are eligible for free
- Children may receive free or reduced-price meals if your household’s income is within the limits on the Federal Income Eligibility Chart. Your children may qualify for free or reduced-price meals if your household income falls at or below the limits on this chart.
Transportation Changes
If your child has a transportation change, please send a written note to your child’s teacher that morning. The note should include:
- The date
- A phone number where you can be reached
- Clear transportation instructions for that day
For student safety, transportation changes cannot be accepted by phone. Please also try to avoid sending transportation changes through email or messages, as teachers may not be able to check them during the school day. In the event of an emergency, please call the school office.
We encourage families to keep transportation plans as consistent as possible. Predictable routines help ensure a safe, smooth, and efficient dismissal process.
Thank you for your understanding and partnership in keeping our students safe.
