Lamoille North Supervisory Union l July 17, 2026

Dear Lamoille North,

We hope this newsletter finds our students, staff, families, and community members enjoying all that summer has to offer. Whether you've been spending time with family and friends, exploring Vermont's outdoors, traveling somewhere new, or simply taking a well-deserved opportunity to rest and recharge, we hope this season has brought moments of joy, adventure, and renewal.

While our classrooms may be quieter for the summer, there is still plenty happening across Lamoille North. From facility improvements and planning for the upcoming school year to celebrating student and staff accomplishments and sharing important updates, we're excited to keep you connected throughout the summer months.

Thank you for being such an important part of our school community. We hope you continue to enjoy the weeks ahead, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for another incredible school year before we know it.

With gratitude,

Catherine Gallagher M.Ed

Annual Updates: A Quick Step That Makes a Big Difference! Annual Updates: A Quick Step That Makes a Big Difference!

As we prepare for the new school year, we encourage all families to complete their student's Annual Update in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal if they haven't already.

Taking just a few minutes to review and update your child's emergency contacts, medical information, transportation details, and permissions helps our schools respond quickly in emergencies, support student health needs, and communicate effectively with families throughout the year.

Families of Lamoille Union High School student-athletes: Athletic paperwork must also be completed before students may participate in practices. Student-athletes must have a current physical (within the past two years), and all required forms are available through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

Information about summer workouts and fall preseason practices can be found in the LUHS Fall 2026 Athletic Department Bulletin.

If you need help accessing your Parent Portal account, please contact lnsdregistrar@lnsd.org or your school's front office.

Thank you for helping us start the school year prepared and connected.

Summer Learning Is in Full Swing Summer Learning Is in Full Swing

Learning doesn't stop when the final school bell rings, it simply moves outside the classroom.

Across Lamoille North, our summer programs are giving students opportunities to explore, create, discover, and have fun through hands-on experiences that make learning come alive. Whether they're building wilderness shelters, learning outdoor survival skills, identifying cloud formations, exploring nature, creating colorful tie-dye shirts, cooling off with water games, or taking part in exciting local field trips, every day brings a new adventure.

Students have also been learning from incredible community partners and guest presenters, including first responders, outdoor educators, musicians, and other local experts who are helping connect classroom concepts to real-world experiences.

Most importantly, our summer programs give students a chance to build friendships, gain confidence, and continue growing in an environment where curiosity and creativity are encouraged every day.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated teachers, support staff, and community partners who make these enriching summer experiences possible. We can't wait to share more highlights as the summer continues!

Summer brings a different kind of busy for Lamoille North's facilities and maintenance staff. While our district's year-round employees continue supporting students, families, and preparing for the months ahead, these dedicated team members take on the major building projects that help ensure our schools are ready to welcome everyone back.

From stripping and refinishing floors to deep cleaning classrooms, updating equipment, tackling repairs, and preparing our buildings and grounds, their work is essential to creating safe, welcoming learning environments. They accomplish all of this while continuing to support the many summer programs and activities taking place across our campuses.

Their hard work often happens behind the scenes, but it touches every corner of our schools. Thank you to our incredible facilities and maintenance teams for the pride, care, and dedication you bring to Lamoille North every single day.

The Great Lancer Popsicle Debate! The Great Lancer Popsicle Debate!

One Popsicle or Two??

What better time to enjoy a cool popsicle than during a toasty summer month?

A growing controversy has emerged at Lamoille Union High School. Are these classic twin-stick popsicles one popsicle or two?

It's one package... but there are two sticks and a clear line to break them apart. Some staff members insist it's one popsicle. Others argue it's obviously two.

Now it's your turn. What's the verdict? One or two? Let us know what you think!
