Dear Wessagusset Families,

A heartfelt thank you to all the families who contributed to the Fourth Grade Food Drive benefiting the Weymouth Food Pantry. Your generosity allowed us to collected an entire carload of non-perishable items to support community members in need during the holiday season.

Mrs. Maureen Perrotta from Champions, along with one of her staff members, delivered all donated items to the Food Pantry last week. We are grateful for your kindness and continued support!

Happy Thanksgiving to Our Families

As we approach Thanksgiving Day, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of our families. Your support, partnership, and involvement enrich our school community in countless ways. We are truly thankful for the encouragement you offer, the generosity you share, and the trust you place in us each day.

This season reminds us of the importance of slowing down, appreciating the people around us, and reflecting on the many blessings we enjoy. Whether you are celebrating close to home or traveling far, we wish you safe and smooth journeys.

We hope this holiday gives you the chance to relax, reconnect, and make cherished memories with family and friends. May laughter fill your home, may gratitude fill your heart, and may the togetherness you share bring you joy!

We wish you a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving!

Have a great week!

School Community Belonging Survey School Community Belonging Survey

As part of Weymouth Public Schools' strategic planning, we need your help in creating a shared vision for Inclusive Practices - one that truly reflects who we are as a district and what we value as a community. This vision will paint a clear picture of what inclusion looks and feels like in our schools: where every student, staff member, and family feels welcomed, respected, and supported. Together we will define what it means to belong in our district and ensure that every classroom and school reflects that commitment.

Your feedback here will help us understand how welcomed, respected, and supported everyone feels in our school community. Your responses are confidential and will guide us in our work. There are 7 questions estimated to take no more than 10 minutes.

Dear Wessagusset Families,

This past Friday, students in the Musical Theater Club treated the audience to an outstanding performance in the cafeteria. They performed three beautifully choreographed songs on stage, showcasing their hard work and talent. Congratulations to the Musical Theater Club, wonderful job by all!

Thursday, November 20th, will be an Early Release Day due to Parent/Caregiver - Teacher conferences. Students will be dismissed at 11:50 pm.

We are looking forward to seeing families at Parent/caregiver - teacher conferences this week on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in-person and Thursday afternoon from 12:35 to 3:25 virtually.

Parent/caregiver - teacher conferences are an important part of our partnership in supporting every child. These one-on-one meetings give us a chance to celebrate your child’s academic and social growth and talk through any areas that may need extra support.

Conferences help us work together on simple, effective strategies that support learning at home and at school. We truly value these conversations, they strengthen our collaboration and help every student feel confident and supported.

Please see the information below about picture retakes on Tuesday, November 18th, if you are interested in having your child's photo retaken.

Have a wonderful week!

Kind regards,

Mrs. Jango, Principal

Mrs. Reinhart, Assistant Principal

Wessagusset Parent Council

Another week of awesome events at Wess!

The Wessagusset Musical Theater Club’s fall show was a huge success, and it wouldn’t have been possible without all of your support. Huge thanks to Joe McDonough for handling all the sound, and to our incredible parent volunteers: Tina Hallett, Jill LaBelle, Stephanie Morin, Kristi Souders, and Kari Taylor. A special shoutout to Mrs. Harmon and Mrs. Jango for always doing extra to help, and for rolling with the fun chaos that comes with these clubs. And thank you to Miss Maureen from Champions for generously sharing the gym and café space!

It was amazing to see so many in the Wess community come out to the show—even those without kids in the cast. Your support makes these events so special, and we can’t wait to kick off our winter-spring session soon!

For anyone needing more theater in their life check out Michael Quigg’s (the Musical Theater Club teacher) Quiggs Creations!

Another big thank you goes to Joe McDonough for coming up with the idea for our Parents Night Out this weekend. It was wonderful catching up with everyone in a more relaxed, less interrupted setting. The Mooring was the perfect spot, and the live music made it even better!

Dear Wessagusset Families,

What a beautiful weekend we have had. We hope everyone enjoyed a fun and safe time Friday evening!

Fun Run

Friday morning, Wessagusset students were excited to participate in the Boosterthon Fun Run. The weather required that we make the call to hold the run i n the gym, but that did not impede the fun students had running laps in the gym. Thank big Thank You to our Parent Council for all their all their work and planning to make the run so much fun!

The faces of all students have been blurred in the pictures below to help ensure we are not sharing any 'Do Not Photo' images. Thank you for your understanding.

Picture Retake Day – November 18
Picture retakes will be held on Tuesday, November 18. If you were not satisfied with your student’s photo or if your student was absent on the original picture day, this will be your opportunity for a new photo.

Parent/Caregiver - Teacher Conferences ~ November 19th & 20th

Parent/caregiver - teacher conferences are an important part of our partnership in supporting every child’s growth. These meetings give us a chance to sit down together, one-on-one, and talk about the most important person we have in common - your child.

Conferences are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your child’s growth, both academically and socially, and to share the great progress they’re making each day. It’s also a time to talk about any areas that may be more challenging and to work together on simple, effective strategies to support continued growth at home and at school.

We truly value these conversations because they strengthen our partnership and collaboration. When families and teachers work together, students feel supported, confident, and ready to take on new challenges.

Teachers will be reaching out to families this week with an opportunity to sign up for conference times. We look forward to connecting with you and celebrating your child’s successes together!

Have a wonderful week!

Kind regards,

Mrs. Jango, Principal

Mrs. Reinhart, Assistant Principal
