Q News
October 12 - October 16
Dear Quest to Learn Families and Students,
We have had another busy and productive week at Quest to Learn. As we reach the midpoint of the first marking period, progress reports will be sent home soon. Families and students should continue checking Jupiter regularly to review grades, missing assignments, and teacher communication. This is a great time for students to reflect on their progress, connect with teachers, and set academic goals for the weeks ahead.
Please remember that school will be closed on Monday, October 12, in observance of Italian Heritage/Indigenous Peoples’ Day. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday.
Enrollment season is also upon us! Our staff has been busy hosting open houses and tours for prospective 6th- and 9th-grade students and families. We are also out in the community sharing information about Quest to Learn at high school fairs. Our current students are some of our most powerful ambassadors. Sharing your experiences, favorite classes, activities, and what makes our community special can help prospective families learn what it truly means to be a Quest student. We encourage students who are interested in supporting an open house, tour, or recruitment event to let a staff member know.
As always, thank you to our students, families, and staff for your continued partnership and commitment to making Quest to Learn a welcoming, engaging, and successful school community. We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend!

Fund Your Music Education and Earn up to $1000
Sound Thinking NYC is now a CommonTime Education partner, and there's a scholarship grant opportunity for students
Colleges recruit athletes. Almost nobody recruits the artists. We're changing that for our students.
Sound Thinking NYC has partnered with CommonTime Education to open a scholarship grant opportunity exclusively for students in New York City. Through the partnership, young musicians can build a profile that puts the years they've already put into their instrument in front of the people who award scholarships and recruit talent.
Every student in New York City is eligible, you do not have to be planning a music major to apply.
How to apply:
- Scan the QR code below (or visit https://app.ctpathways.com/youth-fund/sound-thinking-nyc/apply)
- Create your profile with CommonTime Education
- Add a performance video, finish, and submit
Applications are LIVE and close October 30th.
