A Season of Gratitude and Giving!
November is off to a wonderful start, and I'm reminded once again of what makes BAS such a special school community. This week, we had six students represent BAS at the area Spelling Bee, and I couldn't be prouder of their hard work and willingness to take on a challenge. It's always exciting to see our students step outside their comfort zones and give something their best effort!
As we head into the weekend, we're looking forward to spending time together at Fall Fest on Sunday! So many hands have been working behind the scenes to prepare, and I'm grateful for everyone who helps make these events possible. That same spirit of giving is what we're hoping to encourage through our 10 Days of Thankfulness project, as our students collect items to bless others in our community.
November is also a wonderful time to celebrate family and the things we're thankful for. I'm especially looking forward to our upcoming Blessing Bag Chapel and Thanksgiving Dinner with our students and grandparents. And somewhere in all that excitement, don't forget to stop by our Scholastic Book Fair before November 12!
There are several important details and opportunities to get involved throughout this week's Bulletin, so I encourage you to take a few minutes to look through it. We're grateful for the families who make BAS what it is!
π Scholastic Book Fair β Shop Early!
Our Scholastic Book Fair is open through November 12! Come find some great books, encourage a love of reading, and support BAS!
π³ Set Up an eWallet! Parents, grandparents, and family members can add money to a student's eWallet online, allowing them to shop the Book Fair without bringing cash. It's quick, easy, and convenient!
β€οΈ Share the Fair! Anyone can contribute to Scholastic's Share the Fair program, which helps provide books for BAS students who may not otherwise be able to purchase them. Let's make sure every Bobcat has the opportunity to take home a book!

10 Days of Thankfulness: Giving Back!
This November, BAS is partnering with Adventist Community Services and Texas Conference Education for our 10 Days of Thankfulness service project! From November 3β14, we're inviting students and families to donate items to create Comfort Kits for individuals in need. Items can be brought in daily or all at onceβwhatever works best for your family!
We also welcome monetary donations, which will help us purchase additional supplies and ensure that every student can participate, regardless of their family's ability to contribute.
On November 18, our students will work together to assemble the Comfort Kits into blessing bags for those in need. Check out the flyer for the donation list, and help us teach our students that thankfulness is about more than what we haveβit's also about what we can give!
