School Highlights
Stone Soup & Button Borscht
Second graders have been exploring the Wit & Wisdom Healthy Eating module through fiction and nonfiction texts, including Stone Soup and Bone Button Borscht. To connect their learning to real life, students harvested vegetables from the 2nd Grade garden—including broccoli, kale, radishes, onions, red potatoes, and basil—and made a fresh vegetable soup together. The soup was a huge success! Even students who usually do not eat vegetables tried it, enjoyed it, and came back for more. Some students even called it “the best soup ever!” It was a fun and meaningful experience that reinforced healthy eating, cooperation, and the joy of growing and sharing food.
Spread Your Wings and Fly
Second graders continued learning about life cycles by watching painted lady butterflies transform from tiny caterpillars into chrysalises and finally into beautiful butterflies!
Brewing Up Inclusion
By blending real-world experience with school-wide community service, students are proving that a great cup of coffee can be a powerful vehicle for social connection.
Congratulations

We are still smiling from ear to ear after an incredible Fun Day! Whether you were chilling out with a delicious Kona Ice, or conquering the obstacle course, the energy was absolutely electric. A huge shoutout to everyone who came out to make the event such a massive success.
A Kid's Life: 4th Grade Musical
Another outstanding performance by Mrs. Avery and her fourth grade musical theatre crew!! They did an amazing job and we had a packed house here to enjoy the show. Grandma was a big hit as were the other Jump Rope artists.
