Dear Nord Families,

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Walter G. Nord School, thank you for your continued support this past school year. Our students' successes are a direct result of our valued partnership.

We have a fun- filled month to end the school year. There are field trips, field days, and everything in between! Please do not hesitate to contact your child's homeroom teacher with any questions about May events.

Right to Read Week

Camp Fitch Information Meeting

All fourth graders will receive this 2025 Camp Fitch Information Packet.

We hope to see you at the Camp Fitch Information Meeting on Thursday, May 15th at 6:00 pm in the Nord Gym. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the 5th grade Camp Fitch trip, please email Mrs. Harigan (ashley_harigan@amherstk12.org) or call the main office at 440-988-4441.

End of Year Awards Ceremony

Lunch Accounts

As the school year winds down, please monitor your child(ren)'s lunch account(s) to make sure they have enough money to purchase breakfast and/or lunch. You can add funds, as well as monitor their account(s) at www.payschoolscentral.com. Please have all negative balances paid before the last day of school.

Your child(ren)'s balance will roll over to next school year, so any remaining funds will be on their account at the beginning of the 2025-26 school year.

If you need assistance with PaySchool Central, you can call 1-877-393-6628. If you have any questions regarding the breakfast and lunch programs, you can contact Deanne Kelbley at 440-988-1991 or deanne_kelbley@amherstk12.org.

Dress Code Reminder

As the weather continues to warm up, we want to take a moment to remind everyone of Nord's dress code guidelines which can be found on page six in our Student and Parent Handbook.

We appreciate your support in helping students come to school dressed for success and ready to learn.
