Good Evening PTE Families!
I hope everyone's first 14 days of school have been fantastic. It has been a smooth start to the school year.
We are excited to welcome lunch visitors next week. Be sure to check out the information below so you are up to date on the expectations while you are here to visit.
PTA membership drive is in full swing. There are some pretty amazing incentives for the students to earn when we reach our campus goals.
We have already had a pretty significant number of students with tardies. We know mornings can be busy, and sometimes it may seem like missing a day here and there in elementary school won’t make much of a difference. However, every single day in class truly matters. Children are building foundational skills, learning routines, and developing friendships that set the stage for their success in school and beyond. Plus, we love seeing your kiddos everyday!
Research shows that good attendance in elementary school is directly linked to higher achievement throughout a child’s education. Even a few absences can add up quickly and make it harder for students to keep pace with their classmates. Beyond academics, regular attendance helps children build responsibility, self-confidence, and a sense of belonging within their classroom community.
We understand that illnesses and emergencies will happen, and we encourage families to keep children home when they are genuinely sick. But whenever possible, please help us by making school attendance a top priority. By working together, we can give your child the best chance to thrive academically and socially.
Thank you for partnering with us to build strong habits now that will benefit your child for years to come.

NEW Form Added in the Back to School Forms!
This message is to inform you of one additional form that requires your attention. As part of Senate Bill 12 (SB 12), starting Sept. 1, 2025, the Parent/Guardian Consent for Students to Seek Care from the School Nurse will be required for your child to receive care from the school nurse for illness or injury.
Due to a delay in guidance from state leaders related to SB 12, the consent was not included in this year’s Back-to-School forms.
Please go to Skyward Family Access Online Forms and scroll to Nurse Consent. Please complete as soon as possible so your child can have uninterrupted access to the nurse as they always have!
This RESOURCE may help with getting to the forms.

Lunch Visitors Starts Next Week
Starting Tuesday, Sept. 2nd we will welcome lunch visitors.
In order to eat lunch with your child, be sure to arrive at least 5-10 minutes before their schedule lunch time so you can park and get a visitors badge. The school schedule is linked on every newsletter at the bottom of the page, but listed below since this is the first week. Everyone must have a state issued identification card or a passport to sign-in. Some days are busier than others, so plan ahead and be here on time. We love to have you visit for lunch, but we recommend you limit your visits to no more than once a week. Lunch time is valuable time for students to learn communication skills in an unstructured environment with peers. We also ask that when you do come, try out some of our conversation starters and put the electronics away.
Remember we had to remove the majority of the tables around the library due to fire safety regulations from the fire marshall. There are four tables in the main hallway that will be available on a first come first serve basis. All other visitors will sit in the cafe at tables lining the walls around the outside of the student tables.

🚌 Bus Rider Information - IMPORTANT! 🚌
Lewisville ISD will take over transportation operations for the district for the 2025-26 school year. Check out the video below for details on what to expect from LISD's transportation services this school year.

If you have any question or issues regarding buses, please remember to call 469-713-5983. If you have a child that rides the bus, I highly recommend that you put this number in your contacts.
There is also a video on the above website with more important information.
If students ride the bus home and are undeliverable due to not having an updated address in Skyward, the driver will return the student to the elementary campus as to not delay their high school routes. If you have not already updated your information in Skyward, please do so ASAP! Check that you address is updated in Skyward so that your children can be assigned to the correct bus. 🚌
