A Successful Welcome Back
Dear Yellow Jacket Families,
What an amazing opening week! It has been wonderful to see our students back on campus, reconnecting with one another, learning our new spaces, and beginning what I know will be a great school year #onpurpose.
As we settle into our new routines and operations, there are naturally a few things we are still working through. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make adjustments and continue to improve our systems. If you have a question, concern, or something you feel we need to know, please don't hesitate to reach out. We want to hear from you and are committed to making this a positive experience for every student and family.
Please save the date for Meet the Teacher Night - August 25th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Our teachers will be here to meet and greet, and you will have an opportunity to learn all about your Yellow Jackets daily activities.
We are excited about the days ahead and all that this year will bring!

iBoss
Dear Families,
As we begin a new school year, we want to make sure parents and guardians have access to our iBoss family tool.
iBoss provides families with greater visibility into their child’s digital activity on a school-issued Chromebook. Through the iBoss app, families can see the websites their student visits and set limits on internet access during out-of-school hours.
School District Five of Lexington & Richland Counties launched a partnership with iBoss at the end of last school year, and many parents and guardians have already set up their accounts and are using the app.
Today around 3pm, parents and guardians who are designated in PowerSchool will receive an enrollment code from iBoss via email from Donotreply@iboss.com to establish their account. If you have already logged into the app and completed your account setup, you do not need to do anything further.
For instructions on how to download and set up the iBoss app, please visit: https://tinyurl.com/iBossSetup
The district also hosted a Virtual Lunch & Learn about iBoss and its capabilities. To view the recording, visit: https://youtu.be/sGq1hy_qz9s
If you have any further questions, please email communications@lexrich5.org.
