School Safety Tips
A few reminders:
- Call 911 to report any ongoing criminal activity affecting life, limb, or property.
- Use the Safe2Talk Mobile App—While we encourage everyone to report suspicious or concerning behavior to a school official, we understand that some parents and students prefer to remain anonymous. This app is a great resource. It can be downloaded to any mobile device and is also located in LCPS Go in this form for students to use.
- As always, See Something, Say Something. If you aren't sure or something doesn't look right, report it to staff.
Contact names for questions or concerns are below:
- School Security Officer, (SSO), Josh Stillwell (joshua.stillwell@lcps.org)
- Dean and School Safety Contact, Justin Dailey (justin.dailey@lcps.org)
- Principal, Eric Stewart (eric.stewart@lcps.org)
- School Resource Office (SRO), Loudoun County Deputy Chris Salter (christopher.salter@loudoun.gov)
- School Phone is 540-751-2500 (then dial zero to reach the main office)

Teacher Impact
These from parents or students to teachers:
To Mr. Bell,
"Thank you for taking the time to send this positive feedback! We are so glad that (our son) is having a good year in history. (His) love of any school subject is very much impacted by his connection with the teacher, so thank you for making class engaging and fun!
As a northeast Ohio native Major League is a must watch in my family. (His) uncle often wears the jersey to Cleveland games. (Husband) has watched it more times than he can count. Whether or not you can convince (son) to convince (dad) to watch Major League 2 remains to be determined!
Thanks again for your commitment to the kids and their education. Public teaching is not for the weak; we appreciate what you do!"
Student to Mr. Cassutto,
"I do not believe that I would ever had developed my interest for history without being in your class! If you happen to remember me, and are willing to let me come back to observe you, please let me know. (I want to be a history teacher)."
7th Grade Healthy Relationships Presentation
Any questions about the presentation should be directed to Ms. Sarah Miller, School Social Worker, at sarah.miller@lcps.org. To opt out, parents should complete the form linked here.

Share Cart Pilot A Success
Our first donations from the Share Cart were made to the Loudoun County Homeless Shelter this past Wednesday.
We sent two boxes of fruit, milk, and snacks with Louise Spicer, our volunteer from Round Hill United Methodist Church’s Food Pantry. Here is what she had to say…
“Just delivered all the goods and they were very happy to receive them. Thank you! And please thank everybody over at Harmony so much.”
Just wanted to let you know that this program has already started to make a difference in the community!
(This is a 6th grade pilot idea during 6th grade lunch only. if successful and magageable, we will add the other grades.)
Blue Ridge Eagles
The Blue Ridge Eagles are collecting gently used coats and new socks to aid with the students in need there.
If you can donate, please send to Harmony in C9 no later than October 14, to Mr. Greg Caccavo's attention. Much appreciated.
Spread the Love Club Gives Back
Our Spread the Love Club, which prides itself on spreading joy and positivity throughout the school community, met this week and club members decided to make some staff feel better.
They decorated small ceramic pots and put them in various staff member's mailboxes.
You will see other acts of kindness like this throughout the year, and the club hope the postivity and sharing spreads to everyone.
Happy October!
October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month
October is a time dedicated to raising awareness, encouraging kindness, and preventing bullying in our school community.
Throughout the month, our school counselors will be conducting grade-level bullying prevention lessons with all students. These interactive sessions will focus on:
- Recognizing what bullying is and how it differs from mistreatment
- Empowering students to be active, supportive bystanders
- Developing effective strategies for responding to and reporting bullying behavior
- Building empathy, inclusion, and a safe learning environment for everyone
We encourage you to talk with your child at home about what they learn in these lessons. Together, we can foster a positive and welcoming school community where every student feels safe and valued.

Library Book Fair Wraps Up
Parents,
We had SUCH a great family night last night that we found ourselves cleaned out of several popular book titles. We are unable to get a restock at this point, but if you are interested in continuing to support our book fair, here is a link for online ordering through Scholastic:
https://shop.scholastic.com/paren.../parent-store-2.html/...
Using this link should give our library "credit" from your purchases. Online ordering runs through October 18th. We don't sponsor a spring fair, so feel free to load up your cart! Let us know if you have any questions.
