*If you do not see courses listed in this section, your student has not yet had their meeting. Meetings will continue to take place now and throughout March.
COURSE VERIFICATIONS
During the week of March 24th, your student will receive a “Course Verification” paper form. Please review this and follow the instructions to approve the courses or make corrections. The deadline to submit is April 1, 2025.
HOW TO CHANGE COURSES IN COURSE REQUESTS
Once your student has met with their counselor, the courses are “frozen” in the Naviance system. After your student's meeting with the counselor, changing the courses in Naviance DO NOT change the courses in the system. The only way that a requested course can be changed in the student’s requests for next school year is to make an official request online. Your student will need to complete the form included here or visit the TWHS Grade Level Office to scan a QR Code to make the request. Your counselor will review the course change request and contact your student once it has been changed or why it cannot be changed.
The deadline to make the request to change a course is April 1, 2025.

Naviance codes were emailed to parents on Friday, November 1, 2024. If you did not receive your code or cannot log in, please email Mrs. Tabor at ktabor@conroeisd.net.
If you have two children at TWHS, those accounts can be linked. Please email Mrs. Tabor to make the request. If you have a student at McCullough and one at TWHS, those accounts CANNOT be linked until both students are at TWHS.
In the presentation, parents were given the opportunity to ask questions. Here are the FAQs. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kBrWVQGLEh74r8lXgy3sFzqtmUkLWRs4xMWhT__Hzd0/edit?tab=t.0
DUAL CREDIT IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Will your student sign up for Dual Credit Courses for the 25-26 School Year? Here are the steps to becoming a dual credit student, as outlined on the TWHS Dual Credit Website: https://sites.google.com/conroeisd.net/twhs-dual-credit/home . Even if your student has not yet met with their counselor, they can begin to complete the following steps.
Step 1: Are you a new or returning dual credit student?
https://sites.google.com/conroeisd.net/twhs-dual-credit/dc-steps/step-1-new-or-returning
Step 2: If you are a new dual credit student, complete the apply Texas application & set up your Lone Star College account and forward your emails. If you are not new to dual credit, proceed to step 3.
https://sites.google.com/conroeisd.net/twhs-dual-credit/dc-steps/step-2-apply-to-lone-star
Step 3: Do you have qualifying test scores either through SAT (https://www.collegeboard.org/), ACT (https://my.act.org/account/signin?location=https://my.act.org), or the TSIA2? (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeyVV6Xm1q_rkY9fl4N9G-nsKXbZMd6Hha88hunqVKSkJmScA/viewform)
https://sites.google.com/conroeisd.net/twhs-dual-credit/dc-steps/step-3-qualifying-test-scores
Step 4: Submitting the dual credit google form (including uploading your dual credit paperwork and qualifying test scores). This step can not be completed UNTIL the student obtains the qualifying test scores. https://sites.google.com/conroeisd.net/twhs-dual-credit/dc-steps/step-4-submitting-dc-paperwork
The last and final step (https://sites.google.com/conroeisd.net/twhs-dual-credit/dc-steps/step-5-making-payments) will not occur until May. Your student’s counselor will be sending out another email with payment instructions once students have been enrolled in their dual credit courses for the fall by Lone Star College. This typically happens mid May. The deadline to have Steps 1-4 completed is April 11, 2025. We only have a certain number of seats available for several of the dual credit classes, and they are assigned on a first come, first served basis.
THE TSIA2 will be administered at TWHS throughout the week of March 24th. THERE ARE NO LATE REGISTRATIONS. IF YOU SIGNED UP, ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WILL BE EMAILED TO YOU BY MONDAY, MARCH 24, 2025. In order to be able to take the TSIA2 test in March, you MUST complete the pre-assessment activity as soon as possible. Instructions for completing the pre-assessment can be found here. You may be asked to show your certificate of completion, so be sure to take a screenshot of this. Students taking the TSIA2 test, you will receive your scores as soon as you complete your test.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE: TWHS offers a multitude of languages, including German, French, Chinese, and Japanese. As students decide which language to choose, there are a few things to keep in mind. First and foremost, students should make sure that they choose the language and culture that truly interests them. CLINIC NOTES
Vaccines: If your student has received any vaccines this school year, feel free to send a copy or screenshot to your child’s nurse so that we can add it to their electronic record. You can email it to aransley@conroeisd.net for the Senior Campus, or efalcon@conroeisd.net for the Ninth Grade Campus.
Summer Movers: If your child is not returning to TWHS in the fall, we are able to provide you with an emailed copy of their electronic vaccine record or their original vaccine exemption form, as long as you request it no later than May 27th. We will not be able to fulfill requests made during the summer.
Senior Parents: Colleges and universities require a second dose of the Meningitis (MCV4) vaccine that is received on or after the student’s 16th birthday, since the first dose is only effective for five years. You may also want to discuss the optional Meningitis B vaccine with your doctor. That is a newer vaccine that is available to children ages 16-18, and it protects against an additional strain of the meningococcal virus.
Screenings: The clinic is still in the process of performing state-required vision and hearing screening on all students who were not enrolled in Conroe ISD in 7th grade. If your child has received a vision referral this school year, please ensure that you follow up on that by making an appointment with an eye doctor, and have them sign the bottom portion of the referral form. It does not count as a completed referral unless that signed form is received in the clinic. Please contact the clinic if you need assistance.

There are only early releases before 2:00 p.m. Please feel free to call the Attendance office if you have any questions or concerns. We are happy to help!
LIBRARY: Did you know.. Seniors have to clear their library accounts before they can pick up their prom tickets or diplomas. Everyone should check their account to see if they have any lost books or print fees to clear. You can find this information in the Destiny App on the SSO. For payment we accept cash or print card (which can be purchased at School Cash Online. Just show us the receipt to pick it up in the library.) Please contact Marie Willingham or Lacey Estrada if you have any questions.
NEWCOMER CENTER: At Newcomer Center, we understand that moving to another country can be very stressful, and the lack of knowledge about the enrollment process and the education system can be even more challenging. I have had the privilege of working with over 5,000 families, assisting them through this process, and I can assure you that having someone to guide them and explain the process calmly can make a huge difference, providing them with much-needed peace of mind. Therefore, if you know anyone who is moving to this district, please don’t hesitate to share my information. I would be happy to provide them with the help and guidance they need. I speak Spanish as well. I am available for any other questions. My information is as follows: Iytzia Cardenas, WhatsApp: 2812209527, Office: 936-709-8385, Email: icardenas@conroeisd.net.

THE WOODLANDS HIGH SCHOOL ART TRUST
The 2024 student selections have been installed! Once again, thank you to all the Texas artists who submitted work for consideration this year. Our student committee narrowed the initial submissions to 12 artists/artworks. These 12 nominated artworks were then displayed at the school prior to Thanksgiving and the students voted the week of November 11. We are excited to announce that we added the following artists’ work to our collection as a result of the student voting: Jonas Criscoe (Houston), Daryl Gannon (Conroe), Ksenia Kozhenkova (Houston),
Elena Martino (Willis), and Drew McDonald (Austin.) The original artworks have been installed on the 2nd floor of the main campus near room 234 and reproductions of the works are on display on the main floor of the 9th grade campus.
Visit our website to see the winning entries (and the entire collection of now 71 artworks by 59 established Texas Artists): www.twhsat.org.
The artworks are purchased through funds set aside by Student Council from the Homecoming Dance, however, the framing, lighting and conservation of these pieces need funding. Consider helping with that funding and show your support for The Woodlands High School Art Trust by joining our "One Hundred Friends of Art." Our goal is to have 100 arts supporters make an annual donation to support our cause. Donations are tax deductible and start as low as $10! Visit our website to make a contribution: www.twhsat.org.
The Woodlands High School Art Trust (TWHSAT) a 501(c)3 organization, was established in 2011 to help maintain, conserve and display the student-selected, student-purchased collection of established artists at The Woodlands High School. The vision for the TWHS Art Trust is to see the art collection grow each year and to have it extend through the hallways of the high school. The works are hung in 14 groups around the school, corresponding to the number of years we have been growing. We offer FREE tours of our collection to schools and other groups by appointment. Please contact us to set up a date twhsat@gmail.com.
Other than the public sculptures around The Woodlands, this is the ONLY permanent collection of art available to the public. It is seen by THOUSANDS of people every day. Please consider supporting this unique collection that sets us apart from other public high schools and strengthens our goal of being one of the best high schools in the state and country.
For more information on The Woodlands High School Art Trust please visit our website: www.twhsat.org or contact Susan Cosculluela at twhsat@gmail.com.
DISTRICT NEWS
ABSENT REPORTING APP: In an effort to make things easier for our families, CISD is launching an app to help you report your student's absences to our school when they are out. Documentation such as doctor's notes will still need to be submitted to our campus attendance office, but we are excited about the convenience of this new app. You will access it through the Parent Portal. The directions are included in the link. https://kb.conroeisd.net/kb/absence-reporting-system-app-parent-directions
HOME ACCESS CENTER: Home Access Center is now fully integrated into Conroe ISD systems. Parents are still experiencing issues with "linking" their students. If a parent is needing help, please contact the Registrar of the campus the student attends to expedite a solution.
SCHOOL CASH ONLINE: Attention Parents: Please be sure to check your child's School Cash Online account frequently. The website is www.conroeisd.schoolcashonline.com. Fees are added throughout the year for various activities. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the fees charged to your child, please contact the classroom teacher or club sponsor. Failure to pay fees listed as "required" or "overdue" may result in a student not being permitted to participate in some extracurricular activities. If you need assistance logging in to School Cash Online or adding and viewing your child's account, please visit schoolcashonline.com/Home/Support and view the resources available to help.
