A Weekly Update from NRMS - October 16, 2026
Hello NRMS Families,
One area of focus this year is to continue to help students develop the executive function skills needed to be successful in school and beyond. Additionally, we are working to equip students with the tools and the skills they need to improve their communication with peers and adults and also take more ownership of their learning. The weekly email home from students to their parents is one step in this process. We are now going to introduce students and parents to the "My Homework App" which will help students by providing a tool they can use to track what is due in each class. It will also provide parents with the information they need to support students at home. We will provide time in class for students to record their assignments. This will take some time to become a routine for students. We believe this will assist students with staying on top of heir work and avoid falling behind in their classes. We have our first fall social coming up next Friday. We hope that most students will attend this school community event. See details above along with the link to the permission slip. Our PTO is still searching for members that can assist with the planning, set up and clean up of events like this Fall Social. Please contact the PTO at ptonrms@gmail.com to get involved.
Parent-teacher-Student conferences are coming soon. Please be sure to sign up and we strongly encourage students to join these conferences.
