Last Saturday, 14 students from our 3rd through 6th grades represented Akron at the Brain Bowl competition held in Fort Morgan. The students practiced every week leading up to the competition, and their studying paid off. We are proud of their outstanding performance, quick thinking, and teamwork.

Thank you to Mrs. Poss, Mrs. Weis, and Ms. Sampson for your dedication to helping our students succeed. Your tireless efforts in coaching and guiding them have truly made a significant impact on their academic growth and confidence.

Big Buddy Big Buddy

On Blue Friday, we held our monthly Big Buddy groups. The Town of Akron asked if our student body could help them with a project by providing their idea of a "Dream Park". The students used a large puzzle piece and magazine clippings to create a wish list of items they would like to see in their park.

Students also worked together to contribute to the heart tree bulletin board, by writing their name and a few things they love about the Akron School on a heart.
