The weekend before Thanksgiving we had the best time celebrating theatre with high schools from around the state at the University of Kentucky!

We are so excited to share that our production of “James and the Giant Peach” won 2nd place in the high school theatre festival and is going on to represent the state of Kentucky with Clay County at SETC in March! The conference this year will be hosted in Chattanooga TN and is great opportunity for students to participate in workshops, complete college auditions, and perform on a national stage with twenty different high schools!

Additionally, our cast won the award for Best Ensemble and our delightfully evil Aunt Sponge, Reece Owens, was given the All Star Cast Award! We are so excited for this peach to continue traveling and can’t wait to see what the next adventure will bring!

Rehearsals for "The Music Man" are still underway! The cast, crew, and orchestra are already hard at work to bring this story to life onstage! This year we have 128 students involved in the production and it has been a joy to get to know each one of them! The show performs in Beeler Auditorium and runs from January 29th - February 1st! Make sure you mark your calendar!

We are in need of DERBY HATS! Music Man is right around the corner, and we would love any donation of derby hats or fascinators you would like to get out to of your closet to use for costumes. We will not be able to return them, so please only ones that you would like to get rid of!

If you are willing and able to donate some hats, please send them to room 120! They can be delivered via student or left in the front office with Ms. Kisling's name on them!

We would love to advertise your business or shout out your student in the Music Man program! Follow the link HERE or read below to learn more about how your business or family can purchase an ad in the Lafayette Theatre program, which will go out to hundreds of patrons!
