FEBRUARY PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES (2nd POST!)
February conferences will take place on Monday, February 16th. These conferences will take place over one day and will be in 10-minute increments.
This Sunday, January 18th our signup genius link will be live and emailed to you at 7:00 pm.
These conferences are always a great way for you to connect with your child(ren)'s teacher, spend some time in the classroom and hear about your child's school life! We appreciate the ongoing partnership and collaboration that is shared in the Patton community. Please note that there is only one conference time slot for each student.
Fourth and Fifth Grade Parents: The conference times are for meeting with your child's homeroom teacher. If your child has a different teacher for math and you have specific math questions, please email him or her directly.
A NOTE FROM THE NURSE (2nd POST!)
School-age children are susceptible to various common illnesses.
We encourage you to take a moment to review this Information Letter on Common Illnesses for valuable guidance.
To help prevent these illnesses, please remind your child to practice healthy habits, including:
Washing hands frequently.
Staying well-hydrated.
Avoiding the sharing of personal items, food, or drinks.
Refraining from touching their eyes.
Covering their mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter as we work together to keep our students healthy and safe.
MONARCH READING NIGHT - Thursday, January 22nd (UPDATED POST!)
We will be highlighting several Monarch award nominated books for Kindergarten through 3rd grade students and their families. You will rotate to three different stations throughout the night and we will end with a Book Swap ( bring a book, take a book). Bring in any gently used books you wish to get rid of. At the end of the night you will have a chance to leave with some books that will be NEW to your family.
You will hear a teacher read a story and it will be paired with a fun STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Music) lesson.
It takes place on Thursday, January 22nd from 6:30-8:00pm. Come join in on the literacy fun!
Please RSVP using this link so we can plan accordingly!

ABC 25 FOUNDATION EVENT - Monday, January 19th (2nd POST!)
The ABC 25 Foundation is excited to announce that this year, it will be hosting a district-wide Anti-Bullying Campaign. This event will be held at Thomas Middle School on Monday, January 19th, 2026, a non-attendance day.
As this is a district-wide campaign, everybody in the district will get in free! Members will have the opportunity to sign up first as space will be limited and spots will go fast!
There will be 3 shows adapted for lower elementary, upper elementary, and middle school age groups. If you have a 2nd and 4th grader, for example, you can choose just one show for both to go to. This is just a guideline.
Grades K-2: 10:00-10:45
Grades 3-5: 11:30-12:15
Grades 6-8: 1:00-1:45
This is an age-appropriate, theatrical, interactive event. Box Out Bullying will use an interactive live theater, multimedia visuals, colorful characters, audience participation, and evidence-based bullying prevention techniques to capture attention, empower students, and highlight the district’s anti-bullying practices.
