Superintendent Weekly Update
November 5th, 2023
Volume 3/Issue 12 - November 5th, 2023
Welcome to November and the good ol' "Fall Back" Time Change. Did you know: "The U.S. is one of 70 countries to participate in Daylight Saving Time (DST). Starting in 1918, “fast time” was introduced and has been utilized since then. The true reason why DST was created was to create a way to save energy and to get more use out of our natural daylight."

Message for the Week:
Message from Mr. Tejkl
What you do matters...
Good morning!
Happy Sunday and time change! Welcome to where we wake up in dark and go home in dark :). Some love it, some hate it...in the end, we all have to deal with it so let's make the best of it that we can! As we get ready for an awesome November, it is important to get off on the right foot and make the most of our opportunities!
I love this quote because it is true! As a district, we pride ourselves on providing an environment that is safe and nurturing. We also do our best to have a culture that is inviting and where learning occurs every day. We aren't perfect but we try to be 1% better each day.
As you know, we are in this together and we can't do it alone. The confidence and strength that each child has is because of a parent/loved one/guardian/family/teacher who trusts in them and believes in them! We continue to build our students to be their best both in and out of the classroom. We try to make individuals who are ready to take on the world and be a respectful citizen when they leave each day. It starts with belief and within themselves.
The more you feed into the positive confidence, the more they will feed into themselves that they can do what they put their mind too! Let's keep working together to build a great future for our students and district!
Have a great rest of your Sunday and I will see you tomorrow!
Quote of the week to reflect on:
"Behind every young child who believes in himself is a parent who believed first."
Matthew Jacobsen
Sincerely,
Tucker Tejkl
